Friendly staff, and rooms come with.....
This was my first time to stay at a La Quinta and will probably be my last. The people that work there are friendly, but the building itself is old and smells bad. The only things in the room that did not appear to be over 15-20 years old were the carpet and the bed. Had a nice suprise at 3:00 a.m. in the bathroom when I turned on the light with about 5-6 roaches running for cover. At check out I let the front desk know about the roaches, and she assured me they would handle that problem, and in the future that I should contact the front desk to get a room change. Yeah, that's just what I want to do at 3:00 in the morning...change rooms. Of course there was no offer to discount my room for having 6 legged roommates. The rate was for this hotel has cheaper than others in the area, and now I know why. If I were you, I'd spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer than this. That is unless you prefer the smell of old, stale cigarette smoke mixed with cleaning chemicals and having roaches in your room. I did give the place two stars instead of one because the bed was relatively new and comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
