What a FANTASTIC service hotel!!
By ,
We had a GREAT stay at this hotel! It was convenient to everything we wanted to do and places we wanted to go. It was clean, and reasonably priced. Our hotel room overlooked Dealey Plaza! The SERVICE however was the best part of this hotel! Everyone was SO nice, and friendly, and wanted us to have a great experience, so they bent over backwards to make that happen! From the valets, to the hotel staff, to the waitresses in the restaurant, who not only served us, but gave us tips on how to get where we were going and who to talk to about doing that. The concierge got us a tee time at a local golf course on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and made sure we got into Wolfgang Puck's in Reunion Tower, and called us on our cell to confirm that when it was done. Just excellent! The only disappointment was the pool. It is very small, and very barren looking. They are set to remodel the pool deck this year, but not expand the small pool. Kind of disappointing. But other than that, super.

Overall Nice Place but wont be back
By ,
We were attending a convetion at the Hyatt the weekend of 13-14 jan 2012 and all was well until some teenage male dediced to take his life and jump from the 12th floor balcony onto the 2nd floor of the lobby. Absolutely ruined my stay and I have to say that as much as I cant hold this against the hotel I still felt a little unsettled there after that hapend. The hotel was very nice though, service was good, place was clean, price was a little high but you get what you pay for here. I was unable to self park at the hotel -- couldnt find where to self park, but there was a public lot a blocak away that charges $10 for 24 hours of parking. The West End where there are multiple restaurants and etc was about a 5-7 minute walk or a $5 cab ride (pay $2 more for each person in a cab). The convention facility was huge -- probably one of the largest I have seen. Air circulation was great even with the high number of attendees for the Monavie conference. I was also surprised that they maintained the restrooms well even with the high volume of people that were there. I would highly recomment the place to anyone.

DON'T DO IT--- NOT with high expectations anyway
By ,
Liked the friendly and accomodating staff. Disliked the horrible hot tub and kiddie sized pool. It's no frills, that's for sure. Upon arrival there's a GREAT facade, but beneath it an ugly reality awaits. The carpet in my room SMELLED (how 'bout REPLACE versus vaccuming). I asked for a mini fridge-- I know some college kids with better looking appliances. The room itself- nothing to write home about, although I must admit the bed was comfortable. Didn't help I had the pleasure of first being awakened to a drunken couple in the hall; but hey! that woulda' been preferable to discovering they were staying next door to me. HOW did I discover it? The next morning the guy was vomiting VERY VERY LOUDLY (and OFTEN). UUUUUUGH! Thankfully that was my last day-- hey! Perhaps that's what cost $110-- HIS SHOW! (go figure) The Coup de grĂ¢ce: I PREPAID! Sooooo whyyyyyy do I have a bill for a one night stay when I prepaid for all 5! UGH! The restaurant that serves the buffett (not soo good-- how 'bout adding some protein). The formal restaurant was quite nice! Book your reservation with EYES WIDE OPEN, that's all.

Choose the Adolphus instead.
By ,
The Hyatt Regency at Reunion is a once in a life-time experience for me; it was worth the stay and a good memory, but I won't be returning. Though the base price is not completely ridiculous, the Hyatt tacks on additional charges for things I am accustomed to being included -- from a refrigerator in room to Wi-Fi access. For about the same price, I'll return to the Adolphus, which is just as convenient, far more elegant and has better in-house restaurants.

wonderfull weekend getaway
By ,
What did we like about this place? everything, from the valet parking people, to the front desk and even the wait staff at the Italian bistro, everyone was super friendly and nice. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished with lots of big towels and hot water. We loved it and we plan to make this a weekend getaway more often. Be sure to say Hi to Mario in the Italian restaurant, you will love him as your waiter.

Totally not worth the money!
By ,
I stayed there for a conference. The conference rooms were very nicely set and made it very convenient for our meetings. I liked the hotel restaurants and the staff (most of them at least) were nice and courteous. But this is where all the good things about the hotel ended. The rooms were small. Bath room was very small with one sink. Bathroom doors were two half swinging doors (just like saloon doors), making it very uncomfortable to use it specially since I had a roommate . The TV was still the old bulky type. There was only a tiny closet, not even a luggage stand. Our room was overlooking the train tracks which were very noisy at night even though we were on higher floors. We basically did not go to bed until the last train had passed through. The heater was noisy and blowing cold air no matter how high the temperature was set. This hotel still charges for internet in the room with confusing and complicated terms. I ended up paying for $13+tax per day for internet even though I thought I bought $9 package but arguing with the hotel staff was useless. All and all, this hotel was not worth the money!
