Childhood dream fullfilled!
As a child we went to Padre Island every summer. This was when there was no burger king or hotels or anything on the island. Just a bunch of cars parked here and there and people enjoying the beach. I saw this hotel getting built. For many years I wished we could stay in that hotel instead of the tents we had. Just last week thanks to business travel I got to stay in this hotel. I am old, broke down and wore out...just like this hotel. Everything everyone here has said is probably true, but it's a hotel on the beach. Your not paying for a room or service, your paying for the beach. The elevator was slow, and tiny. Each floor has a mural painted on the elevator area, that was interesting. The fish-tank front desk was interesting too. The poolside bar was nice. When I arrived I was suffering from an upper respiratory infection...so the joy of a child hood dream realized was a little...unsatisfactory. I will stay in this hotel again, hopefully when I feel better and when the weather is more condusive to...bikinis...lol.
