A really bad experience!
We stayed at the Best Western in Bay City for a friend's wedding. There were a total of sixteen rooms rented for the event. The hotel discounted our rooms to $54.00 plus tax, and that was probably the best thing about our stay. We arrived on May 24 and departed on May 28. First, of all, the bar/grill was not open as it said in the description on the website. Apparently, they are applying for their liquor liscense, and the entity remained closed through our stay. The second lie from the website is about the game room, there was not one. The third lie is about a whirlpool. The whirlpool was not for access to everyone staying at the hotel. It is in one of the suites, which you have to request to stay in. When we arrived on Wednesday morning, the groom had called us to make sure that everything went okay when we checked in. Apparently, he had some problems with some of the other rooms. Now, as if getting married wasn't stressful enough, the groom was beginning to stress from the trouble from the hotel. If we would of known from the start that this was going to be the beginning of future problems, we would of packed up our things and moved to the Holiday Inn Express. A couple from the wedding party had to get at least 7 different keys to the rooms because they continuously had problems with getting into their room. The swimming pool had a leach in it. We went to the beach on Sunday the 27th, and three people from the wedding party had checked out to leave, the remaing went to with us to the beach, and when we returned, the hotel had checked out some of the people from the wedding party. When we got back, they tried to get back into their rooms, and their keys wouldn't work. So, the angry groom went to the front desk and they preceed to tell him that they had already been checked out and in order for them to be checked back in, they would be charged the full rate for staying. (Talk about a pissed groom) He demanded to speak with a manager, and there was not one avaliable. So, the attendent stated that she would have the manager call the groom. Guess what, the manager never called, so the groom called the corporate office. This is too much drama to go through on your wedding day, and it was all nonsense. I can't believe that this place was so horrible.
