Wonderful Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
Attended a two-day seminar there in the hotel. From the time of arrival to departure, the service was excellent. It looked as if the rooms had new furniture and bedding. The pillows were especially nice, and there were fragrant bath amenities. The evening happy hour and great variety of breakfast items (even bacon and eggs or omelets!) were nice perks ... and free (although most of us who enjoyed an evening drink or a hot breakfast cooked to order were happy to leave a tip)! Two separate dining experiences in the hotel restaurant were very good. The meals were reasonably priced, served in a timely manner and delicious. Although the fitness room was small and held a limited number of machines, there was a nice variety of brand new equipment and a large-screen, wall-mounted tv, along with personal, independent television monitors with headsets on most machines. The rooms in the suite were clean and quiet. Wonderful stay!

Horrible sevrvice here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/6/08
The front desk manager, I think his name was Arthur was very rude to us when we check in, we had a horrible flight in and our room was not available to check in early, he acted like he didnt care, my room smelled like smoke and mold, this was not a smoking room, I called down to housekeeping for extra towels, spoke to head housekeeper she assured me we would get them i never did. I realized I left my watch in my room called and called was transfered to housekeeping lost and found head housekeeper never called me back at first, when she did she was supposto mail me my watch, never recieved it now two weeks later, Very horrible stay would not stay at this property again....

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
By ROCHELLE, 3/3/08
MY TRIP TO THIS HOTEL WAS TOP NOTCH AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT FOR THE KIDS. THEY ENJOYED THE GLASS ELEVATOR AND THE BEAUTIFUL FISH AND THE INDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL. I LOVED THE HOT TUB AND IT WAS CLEAN IN THERE EVERY TIME WE WENT IN THERE. I ALSO FORGOT MY CELLPHONE CHARGER SO I CALLED ONCE I GOT HOME AND WHEN I SPOKE TO THE HEAD HOUSEKEEPER SHE TOOK MY INFO AND I HAD IT THE VERY NEXT DAY. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL GREAT SERVICES. I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE AND I AM GOING BACK THIS MONTH.

Texas vs. Ohio State
By Cameron, 12/23/06
I stayed here for the big UT game because the other Embassy Suites Town Lake was sold out. I would not recommend this place for anyone wanting luxury. This is a very plain hotel however the staff was excellant. The room smelt of mold and was musty. If you are a Hilton fan I recommend the Embassy Suites Town Lake or the Hilton town lake. I would only stay here as an alternative. This hotel would definitaly not be my first choice.

Outstanding Staff and Service
By Skye G, 9/12/06
We stayed here for three nights for the big Ohio State Texas game weekend. The manager and his entire staff (even down to housekeeping and security) demonstrated outstanding customer service from top to bottom. Even when the place could have been overwhelmed with the OSU marching band members who were staying there, all the other customers never missed a beat in receiving top notch service and attention. We'd stay here again for certain and highly recommend it !!

Did not want to leave!!
By LakrishaB, 8/21/06
We had a wonderful time here, the room was large, clean, and the breakfast was fantastic, the evening drinks were a nice idea, however poorly made, and the lines were long to get a flat beer, and weak drink.Overall we did not come here for cocktails, so I must say I can't wait to come back to Austin and this hotel!!

I Love Embassy Suites, just not this one...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/06
Here we go, I found the hotel to be very hard to locate at night. Upon check in the entire staff was dealing with rather handsome guy over the quality of the ice he was getting from some machine in the hotel. Just about 8 minutes later one of the young ladies noticed me. Hi sorry to keep you waiting. But could not yet pay attention to me as she check the guy out, walking away. After he departed and she had time to settle down, I got my room keys. Making sure I got good directions to the room. because like all good Embassy Suites half the fun of staying with them, is the rats maze to your room. Only got lost twice. The hotel was full, and very loud. Got to the room (King Suite) very well laid out. However the carpet was shot. It looked like someone had gutted a deer on our floor.(deer gut stains are murder to get out) But it was late and the kids wanted to get to the pool before it closed. They got 15 min. then someone from the hotel walked in and told the kids they had to get out because it is adult swim only for the rest of the night. Two very unhappy kids came back to the room. We had room service bring us up a few things. They got almost the whole order wrong. But heck it must have been my fault for speaking english so well. Breakfast was better found one staff member that could speak english, I think she said she was from Iceland. Never again... thanks anyway.
