Great Place, Very Good Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/09
Likes: This place was great. The staff was very friendly, they tried to help us in any way that they could. Very clean. My husband and I forgot to get our parking pass validated, a staff member met me half way across the parking lot to ask me if I needed anything. I told him about the pass, he quickly took it and got it validated for me. I requested a specific room early and got exactly what I wanted when I arrived. The smoking rooms even have an air filter which keeps the room from smelling like smoke. Dislikes: The location is fairly inconvenient if you don't need to be really close to the airport, getting out of there is kinda confusing. Beware of the water bottles. As long as you don't buy anything extra, it is a really good deal, however, if you grab one of the $4.00 water bottles in your room or order a bottle of wine, it gets expensive. Don't worry though, anything that costs extra is posted. Love This Place!!!

Bad service
By family, 4/16/08
They charged false charges to our account and it has taken over two weeks to return our money. They also have poor service in the over priced restaurant. The waitress was the rudest I have ever met. When she brought my son some milk (he ordered chocolate milk) we told her, he ordered chocolate milk she huffed and walked off. You would think for the price they could produce better service, go figure.

Business traveler, short stays best
By Edward, 3/18/06
Hyper-efficient front desk staff. Clean of course. I was in town for business two solid weeks and should have stayed elsewhere. Commute to/from Irving where I worked in the thick of rush hour traffic also driving east in the morning looking right into the sun and vice versa at night. You have to pay extra for internet billed by the 24 hour period, other hotels now provide internet for free. Sure company reimbursed me but why put up with the hassle? For short stays and if you want to stay at the airport this is the place. For longer stays or if you want to do anything at all at night like walk around a mall better to stay elsewhere.

Nice hotel but staff could use some training
By Anthony T, 2/1/06
This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a close shuttle to DFW. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are adequate for the business traveler. The only quality about the hotel that was unsatisfactory was the staff. It was like the staff was doing me a favor to answer any questions. I got the hint real quick, don't bother the staff.

airport convenience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/20/06
I had confirmed a non-smoking room w/ 2 double beds, but received a smoking room instead. Not happy with that, but a good hotel for the price.

Escaping Hurricane Rita
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/05
We headed to the Dallas area to get away from the impending Hurricane, and this hotel was perfect! Check in was easy, Valet was always prompt, Housekeeping was impeccable! And since they had so many families there for the weekend, they even set up a movie theatre in one of the meeting rooms. Free family-friendly movies on the big screen, plus popcorn and snacks for about a dollar! They really went the extra mile for us evacuees! Thanks Hyatt Regency!

Great for Business Traveler
By Bonnie Grugle, 9/13/05
This hotel is like the other Hyatt Regencies I have been to in Las Vegas and San Antonio. Great attention to detail, great service. However, this is geared completely to the business traveler. This is not a weekend getaway kind of place. It is beautiful and the service is great, but that's about all it offers. It mentions "poolside dining service." This is just room service you can have delivered at the pool. The pool is nice, and it's fun to watch the planes take off and land. Don't worry about noise in your room, you won't hear a thing. Beware of the nickel and diming. If you take something out of the mini fridge to look at something in the back, you will be charged. I'm serious. There are sensors in the fridge to detect if something's been moved. Everything in the fridge is expensive, plus they're tax and gratuity on top. A sort-of expensive soda can turn into a very expensive soda quickly. The $10 T-mobile access turned in to a $75 dollar bill. "Read the fine print" t-mobile told us. Hyatt should be aware of the fine print and make it more obvious. We had dinner at the fancy restaurant (can't remember name). The place had just opened, so the staff was all very new. Most of your questions are answered with "I don't know but I'll find out." Which they do, but it is still a bit frustrating. The food was wonderful. The carmel chocolate tort concoction was heavenly, like a homemade Twix bar. All in all, it's a great place to stay if you have a long layover or plans in the area. The kids will get a kick out of watching the planes come and go. Just remember it is NOT a leisure hotel. Other than running around Terminal D, there isn't much to do.

So quite for an airport hotel
By Amanda, 5/25/05
The decor of this hotel is very modren and clean. The rooms are quite large. The only down side of this hotel is that the pool area smells like jet fuel.
