Westside Inn, Kingsport

I have stayed at the Westside Inn for eight years. I have really enjoyed my stay and have made it my home. The employees and owners are all very friendly and do everything to keep us happy and comfortable. The rooms and kitchenettes are very nice. They are well maintained, clean, and very spacious. The price is very reasonable for all the amenities that are available. Management is great and make you feel at home. A great place to stay. Bill Roberts

It's been awhile since i stayed there but they have great room service and the house keepers are very nice my only complaint is they should pay there house keepers more i know these house keepers work very hard and they don't get paid enough.The staff are very kind the people who own them ae very kind and friendly i would stay there again and tell my family and friends about this place.

I ask for my rusted out microvave to be replaced,and was told that they didn't have the authority to exchange it,so I was stuck in a kitchenette which consisted of a small fridge and 2 stove eyes. It took me six hours of hard work to get the room clean enough to stay in. The towels and bedding were extremely nasty. They needed to be washed just to be usable.The owners were out of town and left a staff who agreed they would not eat anything that came out of the microwave,but even though they were in charge, they could not replace the microwave. If I ever get to speak to the owners which by the way are ignoring all of my calls, I will suggest to them that they need to replace the entire staff with people who are capable of handling bad situations. I placed pictures of the nasty room and microwave on this site. Tommorrow I plan to call state inspectors and show them the photos and let them know that it might be a good time to inspect the so called kitchenettes. If the staff had only replaced my microwave I would have just cleaned the room, and never posted the pictures. I wish I had read the reviews before reserving the room weeks before my arrival. I trusted the so called testimonals that are on the motels web site, and the add in the phone book saying that the motel has newly remolded rooms. I guess all of the mouse droppings and nasty cabinets and stove eyes,rusted out microwave and rotted out bathroom walls some how survived threw the remodel, unnoticed and untouched. My suggestion to anyone wanting to stay here is make sure to be prepared to clean and make sure to bring your cleaning supplies. The only good thing I can say about the room is that it's spacious, excluding the bathroom.

will we stayed 3 night over there july3 till 5 and ever one was really nice to us ,,, the pool wasnt working right but we got to lay in the sun and had alot fun,,, and are room was clean some time u could smell something in the hall ,,, and the house keeping was really good about give us towels when we ask for stuff ,,,and it is close to hog wild and the bar was alot fun to ,,, but that wasnt my fist stay we have stayed over there alot ,,, we was over there in june to and had a good time and the room was clean put it dose need some new stuff in the rooms ,,,and we may be staying again next month

go there a couple times a year so i can go to hogwild saloon.perfect for a night of partying.you dont have to drive just walk to your room when bar closes.parking lot is patrolled by security and i havent seen any problems.would recommend anyone going to hogwild to get a room and avoid getting a dui.we had a great time at hogwild.

after paying for the room, we went to the hall and had to hold our breath to get into the room, the heat or air did not work, roaches were everywhere, room stunk real bad, bathroom sink did not work, bathtub was a rust bucket. beds were nasty as well. the mattress themselves were awful. if i had to do all over again i would not pay $10 for a room there. if it would not have been for drinking at the bar next to it we would not have stayed there.

We stayed at this motel as a referrel from the Super 8 across the road. I called to find a hotel with laundrey and a pool on site, when were going to be in town for the World Series. I had read the reviews but HOPED things were not that bad. They were!!! When we walked in the hallway the stink was so BAD I had to hold my breath! Upon entering the room it was no better. We couldn't get a refund, so even before unpacking, we headed to Wal-Mart for 3 bottles of Febreeze, 2 Febreeze plug ins and some bleach. I cleaned the room and sprayed Febreeze every day. It was tolerable in a day or 2 as long as you didn't go into the hall. The staff was very nice, but the funk inside this motel was disgusting!

I just stayed here last weekend and found this place to be great. You can't possibly beat it. For the low rate of 44 bucks, the room was in EXCELLENT shape. I found not a single thing wrong. There was a microwave, fridge, and even an alarm clock. The best restaurants in town are literally 2 miles away. Staff was just SUPERB.

The room was a mess. The carpet stunk awful. It felt to nasty to even walk on. The bathroom was horrible. Water leaking out from under the sink. The beds were very nasty ! The sheets were not on the beds good. So taking a closer look, you could see the mattress were nasty. They were a dingy greyesh black. Stains every where on them. Roaches were every where you looked. While pulling down the blankets there were a few roaches taking a nap. Needless to say we did not stay there. We left. The air didn't work. There was trash all in the halls mostly beer bottles and boxes. Tv didn't work good at all. After letting them know all about this. They said no refund and so we left after paying over 50.00. The pool was ok. People were all over the hotel, mostly locals. You really didn't wont to walk out to your car. There is a bar next to it, needless to say you will worry about your car. The music is loud. I tried cleaning the room myself. But the odor was to much. There is a Super 8 just across the road on Lynn Garden. Went there and it was nice. You could sleep on the beds. WestSide Inn should have to put new beds in all the rooms. It's a shame to ask humans to sleep on those beds. If you do feel you have to stay there, take you some bleach, your own sheets, blankets, towls, wash cloths, carpet fresh, house shoes, pillows, air fresh, and mase. The owners were rude as well. I did notice that they didn't care to take my money, yet they would not clean the room up.

Friends and I stayed at this motel..and it was alot to be desired...for 50 bucks a night..it should've been alot better..when you first walked in the hallway to get to your room...it stunk pretty bad..just like a stale odor..our room was pretty smelly too..i sprayed perfume on the floor to get rid of the smell it didnt help..the carpet felt so dirty to walk on..had to keep my shoes on..when you shower and someone else flushes...you are in for a very very hot shower..it burned so bad..the sink in the room when you turned it on..water just poured out of the pipes onto carpet...the lights had no fixtures on them..they were just exposed..not safe at all..mold on the ceiling....our air conditioner went out in our room so we called for another and the hotel owner i guess came and checked it out and gave us the room next door..while swapping rooms..i saw a roach on the door...thank goodness we were swapping rooms...second room looked cleaner..carpet felt better..light fixtures above our bed..no covers on them as well..not good since we had little kids with us....air conditioner worked great...it still smelled though..while we were getting ready to leave i was checking to make sure i got everything and i wouldve never thought i was sleeping with a roach...gross...I would never go back again..the bar hogwild..next door to motel..stayed packed and the parking lot was full traffic jammed up really bad and lots of noise..the housekeeper never came by our room to ask if we needed any fresh towels or to make the beds...i did this stuff myself..dont forget the bathrooms are very old too...this motel really needs a makeover.
