Landmark Resort, Myrtle Beach

We stayed from the 23rd to the 26th. Everything was convient. We walked to all the restaurants. The pools and lazy rivers both indoor and outdoor were well kept and mostly warm. Very easy to get to the beach. Would highly recommend staying for any vacation in any season. The staff was very friendly

This is the 3rd review I've written today about this place because I'm so disappointed! Tv's were made in 1985, I think...carpet NASTY along with all the furniture...and MOLD MOLD MOLD all over the refrigerator door handle and on the side of it too. Set up of the room WEIRD. BEAUTIFUL view from our room and the rest of the hotel was fine. I will never stay there again, though. The staff was rude when I complained about the mold and that the tv remotes had to be programmed in order for us to use them. No help no nothing.

I stayed here this past weekend. It was okay... it has potential if the right people took over. I wasn't pleased with our room it was dated and stuffy. the view from our room was gorgeous. The pools were amazing in the sense of it being alot of them however they are also dated . The restaurant on site "The Gazebo Restaurant" service was hideous and they have nasty walls, and the linens are dusty that they have for tablecloths. We ordered off the menu because the buffett looked less appetizing our waitress was slow and we later realized she was working in the Bar on the other side and in the restaurant(hire some help PEOPLE) GEESH, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A CONVENTION GOING ON.... so all my mini getaway was subpar due to the accomodations, pools, and restaurant..

front desk staff rude! room was falling apart! ceiling paint was peeling very bad I asked for a extra blanket they say flat out NO! bed bugs but all the did was change the sheets didnt offer to change my room! some of my personal belonging came up missing! 17 pools yaah right more like 5! but on the upside the kids had a great time! I would have moved to a different place but there was no chance of a refund. dont believe the pic on the internet it ran down

i love landmark resort the parking is great pools are great 17 of them and a waterpark and putt putt, game room, excercise room, laundry room, ice cream shop, pizza, pub, convient store, and tiki bar the rooms are great there are no leaky ceilings or the hallways dont smell like pea. staff is friendly and is quiet air condition works and tv has good channels. will live here :)

I loved this place! My dad,My sister,and I went here in 2009 and LOVED it! It has anything a kid would dream of! Our room had a look at the big pool from our balcony and we could the water park and put put! Abunch of hot tubs,a kiddy pool,A HUGE pool with a fountain! A pool out side 2 lazy rivers! They have a bunch of activites for kids,and u can relax! Workout room,giftshop,a mile from amusement park! stayed for 5 days! I would DEFINATLEY stay! There's fireworks at 10,u can go on the beach at night! But don't swim! (sharks) If I could live here I would the maid came everyday at 9:00 A.M. The TV was worth it too I got to watch my fav shows also! When u walk in u feel like ur on an island! SO GO! I DEFINATLEY WILL BE NEXT YEAR! :)

We were unable to get into the parking lot to check in, after driving for hours. Then was told we were not promised a parking space in the parking garage. The room was old and outdated. Had two fire alarms that night, prank phone calls all night. Had to deal with people yelling and making loud noises all night long. There are no words to decribe what we went through, and this was a vacation. We check out 5 am next morning.

Well this is my second time staying here with my fiancé, We had booked an ocean front suite and when got there it was nasty the ac wasn't working and it smelled bad, the room looked ruined down. We went back down stairs and asked for another room and the staff showed us another room that was worth staying. Our new room had a working ac and a flat screen tv it was sooo much better. And people are correct the rooms seemed to be privately owned so some rooms might be good while others ruined down

i read all the other reviews & just have 2 say the people who r telling u 2 stay away r telling u the truth! the rooms r all privately owned & the hotel dosent do anything 2 make them keep the place clean & up 2 date,& there words about that was we dont own the rooms we only rent them 4 the people who own them,& if they dont keep them up we cant do anything 2 make them do it,sorry & she asked why was there something wrong & i told her the room she gave us had plaster falling from the ceiling & the walls,so in general the hotel is a dump that blames the condo owners 4 the bad rooms and they will lie 2 u about anything, just 2 rent it,one of the workers who has been there 4 over 10 yrs said the hotel is broke & owes over 1 million dollars in over due mortgage paymenet, so if u even think of staying there dont book anything until u get there & dont give them any money until u check the rooms out u may find 1 thats nicely painted but the carpet will be sticky& they will say that there working on cleaning the carpets,dont believe them,SO IF U WANT 2 STAY AT THE LANDMARK DONT GIVE UP ANY CASH UNTIL U SEE THE ROOM & CHECK OUT THE POOLS &SUCH 2 SEE IF ALL ARE WORKING,THEY WONT TELL U ANYTHING ABOUT THE CONDITIONS OF THE POOLS OR ANYTHING THEY WILL ANSWER WE ONLY RENT THE CONDOS OUT WE DONT OWN THEM & THINK THAT THEY DONT HAVE 2 DO ANYTHING OR BE RESPONSABLE 4 ANYTHING BUT COLLECTING MONEY FROM UNINFORMED TRAVELERS, I WOULD SUGGEST 2 JUST STAY AWAY & GO SOMEWHere else ITS SUCH A SHAME IF IT WERE MANAGED BY PEOPLE WHO CARE & PUT MONEY BACK INTO THE PLACE IT COULD BE NICE,THERE MAYBE 5 OR 6 ROOMS THAT ARE VERY NICE BUT THE REST OF THE ROOMS ARE DUMPS I WOULDNT STAY THERE 4 FREE THATS HOW GROSS IT IS,so who ever writes & says that the landmark is a nice place 2 stay,has 2 live in a worse dump back home 2 think this place is nice in anyway,just stay away,even the food in the hotel cafe sucks,its old food & its always cold & tasteless, i would rather stay in my car then stay at the landmark,& on top of all that the people at the front desk are terrible with people who stay there they dont care if they lie 2 U,or ruin your vacation they got your money & thats all there worried about so they get paid ! its something when the help tells u about the dirty conditions at the hotel & suggests u stay somewhere else !!MY LAST WORDS 4 ALL u PEOPLE WHO WANT 2 VACATION IN MYRTLE BEACH,INVESTAGATE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BEFORE u GO,DONT PAY ANYTHING UNTIL U CHECK THE ROOMS OUT ! MYRTLE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL! I HOPE THEY CLEAN UP THERE ACT THE PLACE COULD BE NICE IF THEY WOULD JUST CLEAN THE PLACE UP,THEY DONT EVEN CHANGE THE SHEETS WHEN THE ROOM IS RERENTED,THEY SAID THEY CHANGE THEM EVERY 5 DAYS ITS ARE POLICY SO U ARE SLEEPING WITH SOMEONE ELSES SWEAT, DIRT, FOOD & WHAT HAVE U BECAUSE OF IT.I WOULDNT STAY THERE 4 FREE,ITS REALLY GOTTEN TERRIBLE BAD & OUT OF CONTROL,JUST STAY AWAY IS ALL I CAN SAY,U WILL BE BETTER OFF SLEEPINNG IN YOUR CAR,THEN THE LANDMARK, I WOULDNT STAY THERE 4 FREE! FIRST i want say the service suck. Also are first night there was a nightmare we could not get any sleep.kids running and slamming doors . call front desk several times . they did nothing . the next morning i checked out demanded a refund. also i was not the only person want a refund the next morning. such a waste.
