La Quinta Inn MainGate Fort Jackson, Columbia

The appearance of the hotel itself seemed fine until we went into our room. The air conditioner was not on when we went into the room so we cut it on because the room seemed really warm. After being there awhile we were going to a football game so I decided to change clothes and my shoes. When I took my shoes off the carpet felt wet! We were in a hurry and did not think much about it but we came back that night it was still wet. We had our dog with us and he would not lay on the carpet. He slept in the bathroom while we were gone. It had a bad odor in the room as well. The next morning I went to the front desk and told the lady about it and all she said was I'm sorry! We will never go back to this hotel. It was suppose to accomodate pets and they had no where set up outside to take out dog to use the bathroom. It was horrible.

We came to South Carolina to attend our sons basic training graduation. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and accomodating, rooms very clean and a nice variety of food items available for breakfast. We have no complaints about this hotel and would recommend it to our friends and family.

It was close to Fort Jackson. close to shops restauraunts. Staff were very friendly and very helpful with directions. room was clean and well furnished. Had a special military rate that was easy to get.
