Do not recommend - Ramada Rock Hill

Upon arrival, we attempted to check in. The front desk clerk was more interesting in entertaining a guy then checking in my family to our room. Additionally, she looked like she was dress for a night on the town instead of working in a professional position. Once we were finally checked into a room we found the trip down the hallway to be disturbing with dirty/worn carpet, smoke smelling on a non-smoking floor and just an unclean feeling. The first room the heater did not work and the bathroom was very dirty. The second room she attempted to check us in was already occupied. Finally with the third attempt we changed to the Courtyard Marriott which I highly recommend. We will never stay at this Ramada again and will definitely request to see our room before checking into any other Ramada hotel.

Will never go back

We had a group of softball players in town for a tournament and had gotten a group rate for 2 separate weekends in June, 2007. One employee in particular has made our decision to never go back (these are 2 annual tournaments) to this hotel an easy one. Faye is the night clerk and she was rude to everyone of our parents at some point during our stay. If she can not provide better customer service, then she needs to find another line of work!! We had asked her for some extra towels and she only had 2. We then saw her later in the hallway with clean towels and I made a comment to my companion, "hey, clean towels". She turned around and very hatefully said "all you have to do is ask," then she proceeded to shove a towel in my face. When another team parent asked her for an extra pillow, she was told to ask someone else because Faye said she was going home. The pool was closed on friday and the staff refused to discount our rate for that nights stay. We had to repeatedly demand that something be done as our girls had played several games in 90 degree heat with no relief of a swimming pool. So therefore we felt we deserved some kind of compensation since our room rate certainly included use of the pool. If we even brought it up the desk clerk immediately got defensive and rude. We had stayed in this hotel when it was Holiday Inn and didn't have any real problems. Our group plans to come to Rock Hill again next year for at least 2 separate weekends, and we will no longer consider the Ramada Inn as a place to stay.

We won't be going back

The location of this hotel was terrific. However, based on the price per night I would definitely not go back. The bathroom was horrific. It was dirty and there were holes in the wall. The phone did not work in the room, there was no hair dryer or coffee pot. The bed was comfortable but that was the only good thing about the room. I would recommend not staying here.

The hotel is under renovations, but the staff more than makes up for this with their willingness to make all their guest happy. My wife and I will be back to this location in the future!!!
 
 
 
 
 
Not bad for the price.

Overall OK but fitness room was being used as a storage area so it was not usable. Hot water was tolerable but would not get as hot as I like. The $5 room service breakfast was surprisingly good and delivered right on time. For $60 bucks a night you could do much worse. The bar was convenient. I'd stay there again.

Look before you stay

Hotel in being renovated - no elevator so be careful if you have lots of luggage. Asked to see room before check in - I was shown to one room but assigned to a different room - (that should have been my exit) - asked to see assigned room and air conditioning did not work - asked for another room - supposedly non-smoking, but it reeked and curtains were falling off - asked for another room also non-smoking - room appeared to be partially renovated and clean but was actually a smoking room, shower curtain had mildew - not up to typical holiday inn standards - wish i had read the other review before I stayed! Pass on this if you're in the area. Even if you have business in Rock Hill and no other rooms are available, drive the extra 15-20 minutes to Fort Mill or Pineville.

Not a good experience

Staff at front desk not helpful or friendly. Did not recognize the room had already been paid for. Old dingy dirty bathroom, heard mice in the walls at night. Pool not open, excercise equipment not functioning, restaurant did not have adequate staff.
