Days Inn Port Royal/near Parriss Island, Port Royal

We stayed for one night and were very disappointed. The room was clean enough, but I did wonder why there were ashtrays in a non-smoking room. The evening check in went fine and I made sure to ask some questions about the breakfast because we have some dietary needs. The TV remote did not work, but that was a minor issue. We have three complaints - one of them major. 1. The room is very bright at night. I understand that they put security lights up outside for safety, but they should have a curtain in the room that covers the window enough so that there are not streams of light shining in all night. 2. We were very misinformed about the quality of the breakfast. Literally walked in, saw what was it was like (after specifically being told it had protein - sausage - there was none to be found) and walked out without eating. 3. ******There was no hot water in the morning!******* This was the biggie. I called the desk and they said they had a guy down at our wing so they would have him come in the room to fix it. Not sure how he was supposed to do that, but we waited for a while and nobody came. Ended up washing my hair in the tub under freezing water. No guy ever showed up. All of this put us behind schedule, of course. I complained at checkout, but nobody there is authorized to refund a night's stay. In most hotels, our money would have been refunded immediately. They told me to call back after 11 am when the manager would be in. I couldn't call then but did get in touch later. Manager was still not in - he has several other properties and apparently spends very little time at this one. Bottom line is that our money was not refunded. This manager does not care about his customers. If I had known that we wouldn't have hot water in the morning to get ready we never would have stayed here. Never will again.

stayed for 4 nights at the days inn at port royal for my sons graduation. closest to parris island(5min.) check in was easy in the after noon, but if checking out in the morning good luck w/ the rude asst. manager, she was cranky!! please send her back to mannerism school! brkfst was ok. there was never any juice and they had bagels but no cream cheese which several ppl. were complaining about it. pool was decent enough, but the water bugs were a bit UNWELCOMED! since the island is alot of swamp i can understand the problem, they just gross me out. didnt really have any noise problems considering we were in front of the pool, which was closed alot during the day. sometimes not opening until noon. the stay was ok and affordable.

We stayed there for 2 nights and it smelled awful! The staff was nice but the room was not. The sheets smell like they took them and just dropped them in clorox. It was just a very nasty place to be you couldnt be comfortable.

Black mold on the walls, tub and shower curtain. Told front desk but nothing done, bought cleaners at Walmart and cleaned it myself. Leaking pipe caused floor to flood (water splashing when I walked) told front desk and comment was "OK" but nothing done. Room began smelling like baby poop,, Third and last night of stay, water from leak saturated and had to move everything off floor... Sorry to say but this place was really bad.. and should be taken off the list of hotels offered.

I Have Stayed Here Many, Many Times - The Place Is The BEST! The People there are most helpful and are very nice to my dog, JoJo! There is a great Friendlies right next door! The grounds are kept up and the rooms are clean - new mattresses in the past year or so! The showers have great water pressure and the laundry is clean & up to date!

nice reasonable room, free coffee and c-breakfast, wireless internet, friendly staff. i thought it was great.

We stayed at the Days Inn for my son's graduation from boot camp,and I just wanted to let the management know that Sheila Castillo (I hope I spelled her name right) makes your hotel. She made our stay perfect.If we come back we will stay with you all because we know if Sheila is there she will take care of us. We will spread the word of what a great stay we had. The room was nice and clean-GOOD JOB THANKS!

We were there for our daughter Christine's Marine Bootcamp Graduation, it was close to Parris Island, easy to find, hotel needs improvements but was clean except for the Iron, I did ruined my skirt, besides that all the people were very nice including other guest! Nice and well kept,clean,accepted my pet Bulldog Georgia,big pool! Rates were good and free breakfast and coffee 24 hrs a day was a nice touch. Internet is wireless and free,good tv,refrigerator and microwave in your room,five pillows on the bed! We will stay there again. Located near Beaufort,ez to find, Maybe poncho the resident squirel will let you feed him,yep from your hand!He loves cashews!!!! Want to eat! We liked dockside and steve browns deli!! Enjoy! My family was at the Days Inn to see my son graduate from boot camp.To begin with we got lost,it was dark and we could not find our way so we called the hotel and the manager said "no problem i will come and get you".I waited only a few minutes and Sheila arrived she was the sweetest lady and guided us all the way to the hotel.MUCH THANKS AND LOVE TO YOU SHEILA CASTILLO.Now as for the bad reviews that was from the guy that wanted to sleep in his van GET A Life! There is NOTHING wrong with that hotel so people reading know that that guy is a fool.If you stay at Days Inn you will be happy and you must meet Sheila she is a true gem.
