Captains Quarters Resort Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach

It's not the best place in the world, but it is clean and a cheap place to stay at the beach and within walking distance of family kingdom which is nice for the kids. The bowling alley the kids love as well as the arcade. What do you really expect from motels in myrtle beach? How much time do you really spend in the room??? I get a kick out of folks on here complaining about no internet or internet sux, rooms are outdated and such...come on people. You sleep in the room, we usually get in the room around 11 after our nightly family kingdom visit with a 5 and 2 year old..get up and gone by 9 or 10 to the beach, come back get lunch, back to the beach til about 3 and then out to try and beat the dinner crowds by eating around 4 or 5. For the price of this place you can't beat it...also you can go to the sister motels and use the pools and such there. we go a couple of motels down and let the kids play in the submarine, it's awesome for them. You fools on here that get mad because it's not the Ritz, go somewhere else, just makes more room for us and that more peaceful..We definitely not going to miss your whining and crying.....

they offer a rent a safe for your valuables or just use your car.if you dont like the place leave and dont go back.no one made you stay here .you have a right to a clean room and bed clothing.i never had a major problem here .how clean is your house?

Had a run in with the PELLET BANDIT at this place. was shot with a pellet from a poolside balcony room, this was reported to manager, security, and then a report filed with the police. I felt this was a life threatening situation or could have been worse than it was treated. The pellets were shot near the pirate ship pool and could have easily been a child. It could have struck an eye and this would have been very damaging to someone but it was treated lightly, it was not investigated at all, no questions were asked to the people around or nearby, the room was searched but nothing found. We heard the people telling the other to hide the "pills" or pellets i am guessing who knows because they were all young kids with no parental supervision and this is supposedly a "Family Resort" . Do they have security cameras at this place. We had to leave because we were afraid of retaliation and we would be the one to go to jail. We were not offered other accomodations, we asked for a refund for the day but just didnt take it. We were made to feel like it was our fault and all we were doing was sitting by the pool annd a young punk decided to play PELLET BANDIT

This was my 2nd trip to Captains Quarters and my 1st visit was not very good, however for the price and ammenties I opted to give them a 2nd chance and I definetly do NOT regret it... We had an awesome time, we got an oceanfront 2 room efficiencty for less than $ 60 a night which had an awesome ocean view and was fairly quiet. The rooms were clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day and we had more than enough things than we needed. The pools were heated and clean and the service at the front desk was superb. The only downsides we had were that my 3 year old daughter kept tripping over the "track" for the sliding door and the floors in the kitchen were slick and felt greasy ( an easy fix as we laid 2 towels down one for the "track" and the other to wipe our feet on so we wouldnt fall. overall an awesome vacation and we will definetly be returning. ( tips: never ever get an oceanview room as these rooms are awful and always ask if the rooms have been recently rennovated ( ours had and you could def. tell)

I booked a room online,by the pictures it looked like it would be nice,what a lie that was.I ordered a Ocean view king room,all I got was a view of a parking lot!!! I went back to the office and said that they didn't give me what I ordered,they said it was to bad I asked to speak to the manager and he wouldn't talk to me.I got my money back and went down the road and got a ocean front room for less money..

My wife and I chose this place for our honeymoon and we had an amazing time! Don't let the people below who talk trash fool you; you can't please everybody. Our room was very clean, beds were a little hard but not rock-hard. The cleaning staff had the room re-stocked every day in less than an hour. On-site parking gives you quick safe access to your room, and we never had a problem finding a space. Bowling alley & arcade on the 6th floor was nice, the lanes were a little weathered, but it's hard to complain about free bowling. Indoor/outdoor pools were nice and heated and clean, the hot tubs were very relaxing, and the lazy river was a blast. Honestly, it's probably the best stay we've had at the beach. I would definitely stay again!

Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vacation cut short...stayed at Captains Quarters in Mrytle Beach, SC..someone broke into our room while we were sleeping and stole wallet....motel found our door wedged open at 2:55 in the morning...security closed our door and reported to front desk...however front desk never called room or reported this to us..when realized someone had been in our room while sleeping was when we got ready to go to the beach the next morning around 7:30 and couldnt find husbands wallet...Manager of this facility not really concerned with this incident, told us he would get around to checking to see why front desk never reported this to us..Good thing we were not harmed in the middle of the night...Who would have taken the time to see

We booked before reading reviews, then red reviews. We were a little scared after reading bad reviews on several sites. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly staff. We had a double room on the 12th floor. It was a clean room, nice full kitchen, and the best view of the Beach. We loved the location. It stormed one evening so we went bowling on the 6th floor. By no way pro lanes but were nice and alot of fun to have onsite. I have a 10yr old who loved the arcade. We loved the pools and used them alot since jelly fish were bad a couple of days. This is a great place to stay and would recommend to everyone. Most of the bad reviews are bogus. Some people are never pleased. This resort has 100's of people there at any given time most leaving very pleased. There is always a complainer in every group. We were there a week and were happy as were the mass majority of the people we came in contact with. The problem with reviews are happy people don't take the time to do them and complainers do. Bitchy people love to make their opinion heard regardless if its over exagerated or just plain BS. We will return again. great employees, nice indoor hot tubs.pools lazy river. Location could only be be better if you slept on the beach. If you want new and luxury, stay somewhere else and pay for it, if you want clean, fun and affordable this is the place

I spent a day at Captins Quarters visiting family. The visit was nice but the Hotel was a MESS! People say its about Location, location location ! yeah its in a nice location but these rooms remind me of Motel 6. This hotel needs a serious upgrade and makeover. Please Travelers do not trust these pictures you see online! Thats where my family went wrong.

The Captains Quater hotel is very nice and clean. yes there is goin to be loud kids, its a hotel with alot of other people. The location is great, it is not that far from family kingdom and the waterpark, also all the shopping and ice cream shops.
