Lighthouse Inn, Narragansett

We checked in and checked out within 20 minutes. Room was dirty. The sheets had blood and bodily fluid stains. No towels. I had to walk down and pull them from the dryer in the laundry room! The front desk guy was awful and unhelpful. I am reporting them because I would not let a homeless person sleep there.

Read all reviews before staying here...I stayed here a few weeks prior to this visit and it was not a bad stay and room was clean and the maintenance guy there was so nice and helpful when i needed help...but on this visit i was in a room that was horendous...floor looked dirty, tv didnt shut off, mirrors were dirty and when i called front desk noone was there to help me or answer my call...after 10min of calling i finally got someone and switch rooms and room i was changed to was better but not that great..musty smell in room and no soap in room (luckily i brought my own)...upon check out i asked about the gentlemen who helped me last time and the person behind front desk was very forth coming of info which i found to be inappropriate of the reason why this gentlemen was let go...UNPROFESSIONAL and none of my business and the manager or any manager were not to be found and no refund or discount was given to me when i checked out...DO NOT STAY THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE!!!

Filthy rooms! Second time we stayed here and will be our last. Room was not as they advertise... the beds are full size beds and not enough room to sleep 2 comfortably. Bathroom mirror had toothpaste splattered on it, sink in bathroom clogged, toilet loose, bathroom floor filthy, sheets did not look like they were changed, room smelled which explained why they had a plug in air freshener.....over priced!!!! Location is nice only because you are within walking distance to the beach and right across from the ferry. Housekeeping.....well there isn't any! 2nd night of our stay, we came back to our room after being away all day to a room that had not been cleaned.... called front desk and mgr. offered to bring us towels.... 15 minutes later, I went looking for someone to get towels so that we could take a shower. Last but not least, I didn't dare walk around the room without a towel placed down or my flip flops on..... had that creepy, itchy heebie jeebies...... when checking out, I did voice my disappointments and the mgr. and he seemed to want to accommodate us by offering to give us "1 night FREE' for our next visit.. I told him we were not planning on staying here again and if he would refund me my money for one night stay which he did. So THAT was a PLUS and the only PLUS during our stay at the Lighthouse Inn. I do not recommend this hotel and if you do stay... bring your own soap, towels, sheets, etc......oh and housekeeper!!

My family and I have stayed here twice and are staying a third time next week. We have always had a clean room. The pool has always been clean! The furniture and decor is modest but being across from the Block Island Ferry and a short walk from the beach we don't spend much time in the room. The front desk has always been very friendly. No complaints.

Ditto to other reviewers who stated the rooms were not well maintained. Upon entering, that is if your key card works in the lock, it was quite noticeable there haven't been updates for a number of years. The toilet hadn't been cleaned as there was urine on the rim. The floor of the bathtub was grungey. I didn't even step on the floor without a towel under foot. When my husband pulled a towel off the rack it was wet and looked like it had been refolded and placed back on the rack after being piled up on the floor. Upon checking two out of three were the same. We couldn't find the remote to the tv so that was the last straw! Upon trying to leave the room the door handle stuck so we couldn't get out without a great deal of effort on our part to push the handle down. We went to the front desk they apologized for the inconvenience, gave us more towels and sent maintenance out to repair the door, no problem there but he couldn't replace the dead bolt so we propped a chair under the handle! Remote was found under the bed. I brought my own Lysol wipes in and cleaned anything I was skeeved about! Another reviewer's comment was they wouldn't stay here again however cheap it was, well it wasn't cheap. This place needs to drop their price to about $40.00 a night because that is about what it was worth! If there is any doubt about the credibility of this review I do have photos!

Don't stay here.....It's very very dirty ang bugs in bed!!!!. No matter how cheap it is, it's not worth staying in this dirty hotel,,,,,,,,,,,,,Run

There is NOTHINGH good to say about this place. Rooms very dirty and disgusting! Forget service because you will not get any! We stayed two nights and they don't change sheets or clean room. We complained and the Manager didn't care.I would drive 50 miles before ever thinking of staying at this place ever again. I repeat RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can!

My daughter and i stayed there for a few days last summer. It is right in the middle of every thing. so close to the beach. The room was clean and neat. The pool was clean. For the amount of time you spend in the room it was good. We slept and some times ate. What else do you want? At night it was quite. Yes there is seagulls all over the place and yes they poop! But you are across the street from the water!! We plan are going back next summer! PS if you go to the light house inn web site you can get a better rate!!!

This is a great old motel in an awesome location. It is right across the street from a marina and the swimming beach is right down the road. The motel certainly does have an outside seagull problem, but its a fishing marina, the seagull poop is to be expected. The room itself was old, but spacious and clean. The motel also has a great swimming pool. I thought this was a great place considering the location and the cost.

$120+ for a room with two double beds that overlooked a seagull dropping-infested parking lot. The place was unspeakably dirty - construction equipment left lying around (there was a discarded water heater just sitting at the top of one stair well), dust caked on heaters and vents, flying insects in the rooms, filthy windows, out of order vending machines. The only way they can get away with operating a place like this is because it's so close to the ferry. I've never been so grossed out and so ripped off by a hotel before in my life.
