Beautiful
By Felicia, 01/05/10
I stayed at this hotel with a friend of mine during November 2009. The hotel takes your breath away when you walk in. Especially since it was decorated for Christmas. The rooms were wonderful. Very classy and the bedding, I have been on the hunt for comforters and pillows like the ones at the Omni William Penn. I am hoping to be able to stay there when I come down in May for the Pittsburgh Marathon. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. It just gives off the vibe of elegance the minute you enter into the lobby. The Staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, they had a bar/restaurant, shop, Tap Room, and the Spa. Which I didn't get to go to the spa, hopefully the next visit. I was impressed with every part of the Omni William Penn Hotel.

I've to write that was the last time
By Mahvand B, 09/23/09
I was in William Penn sep 5,6 with my family i applied through the price line ,,but when we got there they gave us a room surrounded by only walls(i mean the view) but that was OK ,,I wanted to make coffee but it was broken and in 1 minute they send us a new one ,,,that was ok too cause it wasnt a big deal,,,,but the worse part was from 10 pm till morning ,,,,we heard lots of different noises ,,we called the reception and they told us there is a party or sth like that close to ur room and it will finish very soon,, but very soon took till mid night .at that night i found out that hotel is very very old they can't do anything for these kind of problem and u will hear any kind of noise from anywhere ,that night i called them more that eight times to do sth but it was useless, another disgusting thing is the sink ,,they belong to many years a go and whenever i wanted to wash my hands i closed my eyes.story is not finished here .......the day after that we talked to receptionist to change our room (all of them were great and responsible and very nice ),,,so when we got back they told us we can move to another room it was in the corner of floor 17 ,,,,,,we told them to move our staff to the other room but they forgot that was ok too ,,that room was nice with a amazing view but the problem was still the same the same ,((((sink)))) but this time the sink was clogged and they have to send their engineer to fix it unfortunately he didn't do anything and we completely forget about it cause we didnt have any more energy and time to talk about it ..so we forget the sink the only beautiful and amazing part was the lobby but please please do not notice to the pic that shows the lobby cause u don't sleep in the lobby yeah it was a great lobby but what 's the point ...Also the service and the people who worked there they are great and the problems is because of the oldness of the hotel and it is not their fault.the end

Best hotel where we've stayed in Pittsburgh...
By Mae West, 03/09/09
Beautiful, opulent, turn of the century style decor. A definite 5 star place to stay. The only problem we had was air conditioning (temp in the 70's the beginning of March!), but it was remedied immediately by the staff bringing in a portable unit (wow! it worked amazingly well!). The view out the window were ornate Gothic arches from the building next door, feeling like we might be somewhere in Europe. Very comfortable, excellent helpful staff, gorgeous turn of the century decor, and we'll definitely be back. We were here several years ago, and it was even better this time. The person with the negative comment (in 07) must have been a fluke, because everyone I know who has stayed there also raved about this historic hotel. There was self parking for only $5 for the weekend, directly across the street (which was a nice surprise, knowing that most downtown hotels can charge quite a bit for parking). Convenient to the Benedum Center, cafes, and other attractions in town. Great ambience, definitely worth the cost, and a wonderful, magical experience overall.

Great old hotel!!!!
By John, 01/17/09
We have made this hotel our getaway for a few years now. Have had great service from the parking valet to the check out. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable Great nights sleep , except for an occasional siren on the streets. Room service has always beeen dependable. Within walking distance of theaters, shopping, eateries and sports venues. Without a doubt our favorie hotel in the downtown area.

Historic Hotel Right Downtown
Overall, great hotel! Main lobby is absolutely gorgeous, however decorations throughout the hotel are a bit dated – multiple coats of paint speak to the age of the place. The layout could be confusing with multiple “ground” levels and extremely long hallways and two centrally located elevator bays. The rooms are really tiny - we stayed in the Standard Queen and were able to barely walk around the bed. Flat screen TVs are yet to be discovered by this historic property. Yes, concierge was very helpful. Parking is a bit pricey ($13 a day), possibly ok considered the location. Fitness center was great – the largest I’ve seen in a hotel and with the same princy ambience. Room service adequate, although expensive – keep in mind there is a number of delis, coffee houses and small restaurants in the very building or immediately around it. Will stay there again.

Classy hotel with great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/08
One of those classic hotels in big cities, the staff is friendly and courteous with a great concierge. Walkable to many businesses in downtown Pittsburgh. The rooms are a bit small but extremely comfortable. I'll stay here anytime I'm in Pittsburgh!

Everything about my recent stay at the Omni William Penn was top notch, from the staff and service to the room and amenities. The Tap Room was also excellent for lunch.
