Inn at Presque Isle, Erie

Rooms were small. The room smelled bad. Windows don't open but the A/C was too noisey to sleep with. The floor was dirty, turned socks and feet black. The sheets were scratchy and thin. Pillows were flimsy/lumpy. Blankets felt stiff and greasy in spots. On one day we left early in the morning and returned at 3pm and there had been no maid service yet. The pool was nice, especially since it was heated. The shuffle board court was good, as was the playground with a sandbox. The free coffee in the lobby in the morning, and the cold water dispenser was nice, as was the computer available to guests. While the proximity to the lake and Waldameer was nice, overal,l didn't like the room and wouldn't stay again.

The Inn at Presque Isle is settled just a few minutes drive from lake Erie itself and walking distance from the small Waldameer amusement and water park--making the location of almost being on a main drive alright. (There's also a DELICIOUS gyro and greek cuisine directly across the street called Peninsula Gateway; eat there!) My fiancé and I got to stay in three different rooms (for no issues concerning the Inn) during our visit and each was clean, bug-free, and comfortable. The pools are also well taken care of and the smaller pool of the two is even heated. Inn staff (& Dee), whether around the grounds or in the lobby were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure if I would recommend the "cottages" for they seem to be more like trailers, but that is only from a glance and several of the INN rooms have family space with more than one bedroom and eat-in-kitchens anyway. Overall the Inn at Presque Isle was a very GREAT place to be in Erie, PA. We definitely recommend staying at the Inn at Presque Isle!

My husband, son and I have stayed at the inn for our vacations for 2 years and we will be returning next year. We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days, the staff was very friendly and courtious, the rooms were very clean and the manager went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The pool is amazing always clean and the water is the perfect temp, you can go swimming even if its a bit chilly out. My son and I loved the new doggie "Dee" she was a sweet, friendly way to greet us every time we had to go the office, we would just make up excuses to go into the office to see Dee. Also the coffee was delicious!

This was our first time staying here and we weren't sure what to expect. We had 2 rooms. One room we weren't happy with and were quickly given another upgraded room at no extra charge. We had a great time and plan on returning again next year. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and we felt very welcomed!

The staff and management here are super friendly and helpful. The room my husband and I stayed in was immaculately clean. We felt very comfortable and safe there. We had such a nice time we are definitely going back this year. It is also in a great location.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Presque Isle for 3 weeks. During our stay the service was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and neat. The heated pool was great! We come here every year and plan to keep coming back.

The Inn at Presque Isle is a great place to stay with little kids. I have an 18 month old and a three year old. We stayed in a kitchenette equipped with a stove, microwave and frig., full sized bath and two queen beds. The establishment is well run and friendly. The quaint Inn sits back from the street, surrounded by large, well maintained grounds producing a calm, family- friendly atmosphere. I greatly appreciated the baby-crawling/rolling/playing on the floors cleanliness of our room. The kitchenette was equipped with essentials making it convenient (and money saving) to prepare nap bottles, frozen breakfast waffles, snacks and lunches. My two completely enjoyed having a huge lawn, a swing-set equipped with a lookout tower and slide, and a 2 foot deep toddler pool at their disposal. And, it was great to be only a few minutes from the Presque Isle beaches and nice community playgrounds. I really enjoyed the Inn and plan to make the trip a yearly tradition for years to come.

Very nice people running the office. I would definitely recommend!! If you're looking for a clean place for a great price, this is the place for you. It only took 8 minutes to get all the way to the Marina at Presque Isle State Park....excellent location and perfect for fisherman with boats. I was able to connect my boat's charger very easy right outside of my room: easy in easy out. And the room I had was furnished with new mattresses. Excellent night sleep!

Be sure to make your reservations well ahead of your scheduled stay and lock in your price, especially around the 4th of July holiday, and during local events like Celebrate Erie and Presque Isle Days. I loved pretty much everything about this hotel! My whole family has been going up to Erie for 11 years, and sorry to say we are quite trouble makers. We have been kicked out of many hotels, and we hated many. We enjoy staying outside of our bedrooms late at night, and running around. The inn was perfect for all this! There was a huge yard, where me and the rest of my cousins enjoyed running. The adults loved the grilling and eating area. We took over that area for the whole weekend! Sorry! We loved your staff and the rooms. The rooms were clean, and the staff was so polite. We were told nicely if we were doing anything wrong, and that kept us from getting kicked out! We stayed at The Inn At Presque Isle for the past three years. (2009, 2010, and 2011) Hopefully we will stay again in 2012. I absolutly love this hotel! My cousins and I also enjoyed how conveniently close it was located to waldameer. We spent one night of our weekend trip there.
