Marvelous Get-Away

Large and very clean room. Good food. Friendly staff. Quiet. A great value. Not far from the casino. Would definitely recommend.

Pictures are deceiving, Be careful where you stay!
We reserved this hotel through our Trip Rewards Program. What a disappointment. Our room was on the second floor. Beware, no elevators in the hotel. We asked for a luggage cart, oops, don't have any. We were in an inside entrance room, the hallway smelled of smoke and other bad odors. The carpet in the room was dirty and smelly, I bought Febreeze and sprayed the drapes and carpets. The bathroom was clean, but really needs updated lights and fixtures. The breakfast buffet consisted of small boxes of cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, apples and a couple pastries. This is not included with your room. You must pay $3.99 per person for this. I was told the coffee was complimentary, and was until the last day we stayed and then we were charged fifty cents for it. It actually became like a bad joke, but since we had used trip reward points for part of our stay, we did not want to lose them. We just spent very little time in the room. The entrance was very shabby and dirty, with a sign on the door that read, "Clean the mud off your boots before entering". This should have been my first warning!!! Really, clean this place up!!!!! How disgraceful to have the "Ramada Inn" name on this poor excuse for a hotel!! The one positive thing I can say is the staff was friendly.

Bad experience
By ,
I chose this hotel because of the information from this website. It was terrible. I had a refrigerator ordered for the room and it wasn't there. When I called the desk, there was no one available to get one. When I asked where the ice machine was, I was told there wasn't one that was working but I could go up to the desk and she would put my items in the hotel's refrigerator. I was informed that she was the only one there. The bathroom smelled like mold and there was mold along the ceiling area. The winds had picked up due to storms in the area and there was a considerable amount of cool air coming in around the door and the room was getting cold. I attempted to turn on the heat and when it didn't work, I called the desk and found out that the heat wouldn't work until it was at least down to 65 outside. I sat down on one of the chairs in the room while searching through the phonebook for the numbers of the other hotels / motels in the area and the springs were broken. Needless to say, I checked out within 1/2 hour of checking in! I truly do not know how anyone could grade a stay at that place at a 5-star. My office uses the yahoo site for maps and hotel searches on a routine basis and this is the first time I have checked out of a hotel because of poor conditions in over six years. And, I spend close to 200 nights a year in hotels / motels.
