Not a pet friendly hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/07
Upon arriving at the hotel I was shocked to find all the furniture on the beds and had to be placed back on the floor! This included a heavy dining table and two dining chairs.
My bed had a large piece of wood sticking out from underneath it that kept stabbing my foreleg. The room was clean and the bathroom was neat.
However what made my experience bad was the fact that despite the hotel advertised being pet friendly, after two days there it seemed as if the maid was upset we had a dog in the room and the desk management wanted an additional $30 for the three nights we stayed despite our making online reservations for the dog and I calling the hotel in advance to make sure they would accept my dog which is a 80 pound German Shepherd and I was reassured that it would be fine.
After speaking to the desk clerk and paying the additonal $30 I reminded him that he told me a German Shepherd dog would be fine but he insisted that he was not notified via the computer reservation that we were bringing a dog. He then threatened to charge me a $300 penalty for sneaking in my dog!
Needless to say we stayed one more night and departed never to stay at a RODEWAY INN again!
