Mountain View Inn, Greensburg

The most beautiful and comfortable place to stay. I could not believe noone stopped it from being torn down,everything, including the grounds. They put up a dull piece of crap in its place. Isn't there a historical society to preserve gorgeous old places that are in good shape and have everything you could ever want to surround you? What were they thinking. I cryed when I came up this Christmas and it was all gone. I am so glad I had an Pleasure to behold all its magnifigance in years gone by. Shame on Greenburg for not saving it. No place to visit there now!

Two of the many reasons we stayed there was because it had internet access and its historical value. First, none of the employees even new the history of the Inn. Secondly, after we checked in, we found out lightning had struck the tower earlier so there was neither a working telephone nor Internet access. On top of that, the bath tub matt had mold under it and the shower tracks were all grimy. The telephones not only being a potential death wish not being able to call 911 if needed, we had to walk down to order room service. We understood these things happen and could have lived with all the above but we asked if they planned on adjusting our rate accordingly and they did not. We just got the feeling that it was not about the customer but only the money. I was also told the lightning started a small fire. Other than all of that, it was a nice stay.

My wife and I stayed at Mountain View Inn for our anniversary. We had a garden suite that had a stunning view of the mountains, a jacuzzi tub, and a huge room. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

I stayed at the Mountain View Inn with my family on vacation to Idlewild Park. We stayed two nights and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. We had a large room called an Innkeeper's suite. The hotel is very historic and the staff was very friendly. They also have a very nice outdoor pool that my kids loved. I very charming place and is definately worth the trip!

i took my wife here for a night out. the room was not very clean. it needed updated very bad. but the worst was the food. we had dinner and it was nasty. best way to say it. and even know i am a chef and expect good food this way bad. worst onion soup i ever had. my 12 year old could have made better soup. the pasta was taste less. the waiter didn't know his wines. plus i have heard other people say bad things about the food. wish i would have know this before i spent my money on this place. I am not a person who likes to complain but this was just bad all around. don't waste your time or money. and if someone tells yo uhow good this place is, find out how long its been since they have been there. because it was gone way down hill in the last year or so. i work for a hotel and if mine was this bad i wouldn't have a job for long. sorry about the grammer. i can cook but can't spell.
