Fility Dirty Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/07
I walked into the motel room and immediately walked out. I would not sleep in that bed if they paid me!!!!!! It is very obvious the owners do not put any money into the place. Needs to be closed and 100% refurbished or condemned....I personally think the latter is best....don't bother to complain to management, nobody will call you back....how they keep thier franchise agreement with Ramada Franchise Systems, Inc is a wonder.

Stay away at all cost
By Bob, 06/06/07
First room we were given smelled, had mildew in bathroom, arm chair was filthy and cigaret burns in carpet. We reserved non-smoking. Second room smelled worse, had stained sheets, door wouldn't close shut and bathroom was dirty. Finally got an acceptable room on third try although the fridge, phone & alarm clock didn't work. No air conditioning in lobby or hallway. Only one ice machine that worked on site. Broken glass in pool area. Looked like the rooms were rented by the hour. The remodel in 2005 must have been the outside paint because nothing inside the rooms has been redone. Stay away from this dump.

Worst Hotel Experience of my Life!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/07
This hotel is the worst I've ever seen, Ramada or otherwise. I am just now (1/30/07) receiving communication from Ramada (upper) management re: a very negative situation that occurred during my stay there Thanksgiving weekend, 2006! To date, I have not received a call from the manager of the hotel, even though I contacted him many times and left many messages. This hotel is a nightmare, with a staff that reminds me of children being left at home alone to do as they please. The Sat night club atmosphere is not what I would have expected at a Ramada. People are partying (drunk) everywhere, inside & out, creating a very noisy & "unsavory" environment, until early morning. (I found an empty prophylacic box on my windshield the next morning.) I did not see any Security & did not feel safe in the area. Both the room & bathroom were deplorable, with dirt & mold everywhere. If I wasn't dead-tired, I would have just left by that time (after midnight), but I had already wasted 2 hours trying to resolve my situation with uncaring staff, and had to get up at 5:00 am the next day. I asked to speak to the manager but was told that he was not there and was not avilable. As it turns out, he is still not available, 2 months later. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! All I can say is that anyone who rates this hotel above a zero has never been in a hotel before. It is that bad. It should be condemned.

Worst Place Ever
By Lex, 11/17/06
DON'T STAY HERE. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at that was associated with a major chain. We had our wedding party stay there and 11 out of 12 rooms that we used had problems. When we brought these issues to the manager, he actually yelled at my mother-in-law for disturbing him. The problems we had were : hundreds of ants in 2 separate rooms, crickets in room, a mouse in a room, 2 broken fridges, 2 rooms with horrible smells, 3 rooms with a bathtub filled with dirty water when the guest got there, and another guest who was given an already occupied room. While the front desk people were helpful, the management staff was very rude and failed to solve any of the problems. If you plan on staying at this hotel, DON'T. If you don't believe me, then go ahead but don't say you were not warned. As a final note, the directions the hotel may give you could be wrong. Out of 9 or so cars that traveled there, 8 got lost based on the directions.

we'll go back
By Sno, 10/31/06
Location is excellent, and I think they have corrected some of the housekeeping problems reported by others. The breakfast is great- they have hot scrambled eggs and potatoes. Also a refrigerator and microwave in each room!!! There is a Giant grocery store nearby on Hiester's Lane- so you can get pretty much whatever you want to eat. I enjoyed this hotel, and hope its available when I need to go back to this area.

The worst place I have ever stayed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/06
The room reeked of cigarette smoke. Cigarette burns all over. There were actually mice in our room. We called the front desk and were told that "somewhat would be up to check it out." After nearly an hour, and no one showing up, we went to the front desk. We were offered another room, which we agreed to. This room, however, had huge toenail clipping on the carpet between the bed and the wall. GROSS!! Never again!!

Don't stay there!
By Tom, 09/28/06
Dirty room; the door to the balcony was broken and the balcony had no stairway down to the parking lot; no exhaust fan in bathroom; exterior security doors that didn't lock; had a bar on the premises, but no restaurant (Friday/Saturday night party-goers all over the place); dirty and unkept breakfast room (food was old and re-cooked daily); one washer/dryer for entire hotel (when it wasn't broken); it took 3 days to get laundry changed and room cleaned; they charged us 3 different rates for our 10-day stay; we had to remain at this hotel as every hotel in Reading was booked or we would've left after the 1st day; however, the bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel was good.

A Complete DUMP!!
By Joe, 06/09/06
Ramada, who knew that their hotels have turned into champions of slum living. I've stayed in 3rd world countries with better rooms. Urine on room walls. Smells just like you are sleeping in a subway system. Doors do not lock. Door james kicked in our cut out. No security for your family. Rooms hhave broken glass front windows. Look Like someone was thrown through them. Filthy rooms, dirty bathrooms, dirty towels, moldy bathrooms. Dirty floors. Dirty sheets. Filth all around. Phones don't work. Holes in walls, missing smoke detectors. Exposed wiring. And this was just the better of the 4 rooms that I tried! Super loud nightclub full of drunks adjacent to front lobby. This place is a bonafied dump that nothing short of a bulldozer would help.

don't ask any questions
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/05
they advertise cabela,s as a local attraction, yet nobody that worked there knew where it was. the restaurant is a actually a smoke filled bar. the only english speaking employee was the bartender. no one would recommend a restaurant, saying they had no idea where to go. they let people swim in the pool with their street clothes on {long pants,etc.!}
