Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, Hershey

Not only was the hotel room dirty and smelly, the toilet didn't work, there was no fan in the bathroom (which might explain the mold) and it was noisier than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was old and run down and not worth the money they charge! We had a very long wait at check in, the food in the sports bar was awful and the service was terrible, and the Breakfast with Santa package was a huge disappointment. It was poorly set up and there was no communication and we were rushed out. The food was mediocre and not at all worth what we paid for this package. However, the horror started at check in when they said there was a problem with my credit card and it wouldn't go through. This is my checking account and there should be no reason for it not to go through so we ended up paying with another credit card. As soon as we got to our room, I called my bank, only to find that the charges did go through on my account and were approved according to the CSR at the bank--not once, but twice!! I called the front desk, only to be transferred to accounting on the Friday after Thanksgiving--knowing no one was going to be there! We went to the front desk a total of 5 Times to try and get this issue resolved. It resulted in no credits to our account and another debit! They have now debited the account $1000 when we paid for the room with another card. The mgr admitted they had a new credit card system and we'd have to call Acctg on Monday because she couldn't fix it. They had no problem taking our money 4 times, and yet, no one knows how to give it back. In the meantime, I'm without $1000 while they try to figure it out! And the kicker is, we spent almost 5 hours of our vacation (yes, 5 hours!!!) tyring to resolve this issue with them and we did not receive one apology for causing us all of this inconvenience--NOT ONE! Amazing! I will never ever stay at the Hershey Lodge again. I will tell everyone I know my story to be sure that no one I know ever stays at the Hershey Lodge again and I will post a review anywhere I can. This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel and I've stayed at a lot of places. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. My issue should have been resolved with my first phone call to the front desk--and I'm still dealing with it and who knows how long it will take to get resolution. Shame on you Hershey.

Location is about the only real positive here....Don't expect service with a smile here...don't expect good food either (BARF!!) ..But they do have Hershey's Cocoa available...LOL!! Save your $$ and stay ay any of a gazillion other places + check out Dukes Bar & Grill in Hershey (Google it!!) for a REAL MEAL! Outstanding jumbo sandwiches and entrees!! The Hershey Lodge Restaurant truly sucks!!

We booked 3 day 2 nights golf packages at Hersey. However the first day was raining, so the golf club credited us back. When we checked out, I insisted Scott (the front manager) to make sure that the bill was correct. He was rude to ridicule me and told me there was no balance to pay w/ my pre-deposit. Days later my credit card was suddenly slammed another $898 by Hersey!!! Hotel bill should be transparent and cleared when the customer was checking out!!! It is not ethical to slam charge into customers' credit card days after checking out!!! Called the general manager's office, Melissa was kind to help and agreed to credit the $567 overcharge. However Frank (assistant manager) was rude as hell to talk with, the way he treated customers was unthinkable!!! How can you ever trust Hersey with your credit card and endure the rudeness?

I've stayed at the hershey lodge numerous times, and I enjoy your hotel.. I was not happy with the food at The Bears Den. I expected the food to taste much better. I'm very surprised that such a beatiful hotel had such terrible food. I then choose to eat elsewhere. I will be coming back to hershey, naturally because I have three children. I will probably stay at another hotel based on the food.

The staff was very unfriendly, the rooms were very dirty and dusty and bugs were in the sheets. Horrible experience. Please don't ever go here if you ever plan to. you are better off staying at the Econo Lodge, save yourself the time and money. dont ever go here.

i loved every thing about this place we go every year and love it. you get shuttle to the park . the rooms are clean and wonderful.the food is great and gift shop is the best part !!!!!!!!!!!!!! thare is nothing realey that i cxould say bad about this place . i recamend it every one .even for the kids i love how they have the kids check inn that is clever . also i would like to put world in about the pool great . to look at all the othe expensive places this is kind of cheep.

I thought this was a great deal! Our room was very clean and comfortable. As far as my family and I are concerned, where else can you get a nice room, breakfast with Santa (really good food), tickets to a park where everything is included, free shuttle rides, and other free tickets (light show car ride, Hershey Gardens, free chocolate tour ride) for the price we paid (380) and our dinner and Christmas show was also a steal. (anywhere else the tickets would be 70 a person and that would not include a dinner) We will definitely plan on coming back, this was our fourth time here and we have always been happy.....

This was my 6th and final time at Hershey Lodge. While it was nice 6 years ago, they have not updated anything. The linens are dirty and on a holiday weekend the Lodge cannot handle the amount of guests. Dining is expensive and not worth the money. This is not worth $299 a night. Save your money and go to Disney or another RESORT. Pennsylvania does not know what a real RESORT looks like. Park used to be clean and beautiful, but the new water park ruined the cleanliness and dress code. Milton Hershey would not be happy with the NEW corporate Hershey.

This place is over rated over priced .. out dated ,and dirty! I was shocked I have two babies whom I would not let them roam around the room it was way to dirty. The pool even worse, and the resturants an absolute joke from the service to the food. It felt like I was somewhere in PA where no one visits, if that was the case I would not be so upset , but for Hershey park...... The need to sweeten this place up! About 10 notches and how dare they charge what they do.
