Medford Inn, Medford

Breakfast is great. Close to Harry and David shoping and several places to eat. Not far off the freeway. Head north on Riverside to a big shopping mall.. Great for weekends and close to home.

We paid a little bit more for lodging here because the website (and pictures available on the web) made it look like a step above other motels in the area. Unfortunately, it was just a motel. A NICE motel, but a motel nonetheless. The staff were bickering with each other in front of the customers, which I thought was less than classy. The showerhead was VERY low - I'm 5'6" and I had to duck to get under the shower. The room was very nicely decorated and VERY spacious. Another nice thing was that we were in a single-level part of the complex - so we had no upstairs and no downstairs neighbors. The outside of the complex was obviously freshly painted. There was a little garden area (as shown in the pictures on the website), but it is in the middle of the parking lot, next to a busy street. Overall, not a bad place to stay. I don't know if I would pay the extra $$ over a chain motel, though.
