Wonderful Service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/09
We first stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago. It was not very clean and I had not planned on going back. I am glad we changed our minds. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms were clean. We had a very pleasant stay. The location was great. It is not a far drive to anything you want to do. When we go back I feel sure we still stay here again.

This is a Crown Plaza?
By Christopher, 06/17/09
Due to work, I stay at this hotel at least once a month. I'm shocked that Crowne Plaza has put thier name on this place. Rooms are dirty, lights are dim, the AC sucks leaving rooms hot and uncomfortable. Don't let the lobby and name fool you. I think this place maybe on it's way to becoming a Ramada.

Stay Somewhere Else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/08
I used to go to OKC quite a bit on business and each time I'd have to stay at The Crowne Plaza. The hotel is dirty, the service isnt great, and whoever on here said that the air conditioning doesnt work well hit the nail on the freakin' head! It is sooooooooo hot in those rooms during the summer time especially on the 2nd floor. You can try to crank the a/c all you want but it wont do anything. The rooms are hot and humid. I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Memphis and was concerned it was like the Crowne in Oklahoma... they are nothing alike. This hotel has dirty floors, dirty rooms etc. I'd stay somewhere else

Falsly Advertized! Unprofessional! Uncaring!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/08
We notified the hotel that one of our children suffered from asthma, and confirmed our reservation for a non-smocking room the morning of our stay, when we arrived only smocking rooms were available. We got the smocking room, when we walked in someone was already staying there. If we weren't honest people, we could have totally stole all the valuables of the person who was already staying there, and had all of their belonings unpacked. The new room smelled awful, bath tub did not drain, pubic hair was on the tub, windows were dirty, and room service tray was dirty when arrived with our food on it. The pool was outdors, and it was not heated, was told by employes that we were welcome to use the hot tub, which was ice cold and dirty. When we notified the staff that the hot tub was ice cold, we were told that it must not be working. I notified the manager of my dissapointment with the hotel, and he immediately arranged for us to swim at the Holiday Inn Express that was across the street, which looked so much nicer, and cleaner. I woud never in my life stay at the Crown Plaza hotel again.

dirty!!
By its me!, 03/18/08
me and my husband stayed at the crowne plaza when the lights went out all over the city in December. we called tons of hotels and everyone was full to capacity. so we called the crowne and they said they had a vacancy. we were soooo happy!! once we got there we realized there lights were out too and we i asked an employee and lied and said no. then he directed me to go to the front desk. they took our name and # and said if they lights come back on we will call you and you have a free nights stay. well the lights did come by on but no call and no free night. and we know for sure the lights were back on because we drove by checking several times. so we ended up getting a call the next day and checked in. the room smelled like smoke and just dirty! then i went to take a shower only to find the soap was dirty and so were the towels. if you care about cleanliness please do not stay at the crowne plaza!!!!

The beds sleep great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/07
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and the staff and pleasant and remember you. My room was hot on my last trip and had to buy a fan and it wasn't as clean as it could be. The beds sleep better than anyplace I have stayed. I wish they had microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. I will give them another try after the summer heat is over.

Worst Air Condition System!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/07
I attended two events/meetings in their Hotel, the worst of the worst Air Condition System EVER!!On the last meeting this summer in their so-called Oklahoma Ballroom, we even called upon their Management to address this and all they offer was apologies with an explanation that their "Engineers" were working to resolve it. But they couldnt pull one out when we ask for one. We have decided not to use their facilities again.

HOT!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
Would have given a great review (nice, helpful staff and nice hotel) but....the air conditioning was terrible!!! they moved our room once and we still had to go out and buy fans. Also heard other guests talking about having same problems with hot rooms. It seemed to be a hotel wide problem. We were miserable!

Not my ideal of the Royal treatment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/07
The first room they gave us - when we opened the door the TV was blaring. There was a food tray will dirty glasses sitting on the table. There was trash on top of the TV. The soap was open in the bathroom with the wrapper sitting on the counter and there were two bars of open and used soap in the shower. And it smelled of stale smoke although it was a non-smoking room. We immediately requested a new clean room and were promptly given the room next to the elevator and the ice machine - at least it was clean and there was a nice gift bag on the bed. In addition, the bed was comfortable Don't try to order off of the room service menu as we did and after multiple selections were repeatedly told they could not or did not have anyway to make what was ordered or no longer an item they served - this included a patty melt, grilled shrimp, chicken fried steak and rice. Twice they brought up items that were not ordered and had to retrieve them. It took over 2 1/2 hours to bring up three entree's that they could make and after an employee came to the room with a bar menu since the one in the room was 'old and out of date'.

A good value with Priceline
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/05
We got this room for around $50 with Priceline and it was a very good deal at that rate. Our room was clean and recently renovated. It appeared that other parts of the hotel were being renovated during our stay. There were lots of nice amenities in the room (sleep aids, for example.) We had a great view of the OKC skyline in the distance. Front desk was a little hectic and never responded to a request for extra towels. Location is so-so--not close to I-40. But if you have a good map/directions it's no big deal. If you bring a family, check out the Furr's cafeteria just up the street in the French Market strip mall (the front desk crew did not know about it, btw). There's also a Barnes & Noble close by if you need to kill time and have a good cup of coffee.
