I would like to say first that I have 28 years experience in commercial cleaning. With this property you must get past the aesthetics. Cleanliness, the bathroom was clean there was no hair or dust on the toilet, sink or tub, the base and behind the toilet as well as the floor was clean. The shower water pressure was awesome with plenty of hot water. The sitting area while not pretty was clean for the most part. The moldings, tables and room divider had no dust. The loveseat and chair were worn and a bit dirty and need to be replaced. The refrigerator needs to be thrown out. The sleeping area, the mattress while not new was clean with no visable stains as was the mattress pad. The sheets, pillow cases were also clean. The bedspread was dated and faded but appeared to be clean. The moldings, tables and windowsil were without dust. The drapes and air conditioner were new. A little dust on top of the pictures. The carpet is dated and needs replaced but there was no dust next to the baseboards or in the corners. The man at the front desk was pretty cold and didn't seem to like it when I talked to one of the cleaning people. The cleaning person was nice and accommodating. The hallways had new carpet, no dust or cobwebs. The lobby while nothing special was clean and had a computer for internet access. I didn't check out the pool. Three words, fifty five dollars.

Stay away

This place is an absolute dump. Not habitable at all. Had to leave and go to another hotel -- it was that bad! They are not even able to rent the back 2/3 of the complex because of structural/health code problems. I don't know why Econolodge doesn't yank this franchise asap. Specifics: There is a horrible stench throughout the entire hotel and the air conditioning is non existent. It doesn't work in ANY room (we checked around) and the staff doesn't seem to care about anything but suckering people to check in. Our "suite" did not have a kitchenette (as promised) or even a refrigerator. Nothing that was advertised as included in the room. Not even a coffee maker or iron. Just a series of flat out lies by the staff. The pool is surrounded by a padlocked fence and in complete disrepair (ie. no water or access or any forseeable repair in the near future). Another lie on the telephone because we confirmed everything when making the reservation. Also, our "non-smoking" room had big cigarette burns in the couch and it also had ashtrays in the room. Another lie or just a bad mistake? The furniture and bed was also badly stained and did not appear to be clean. We could go on an on but you get the picture. Avoid at all cost. They couldn't even get a card key to work for our room -- the front desk wanted us to walk downstairs and get them whenever we wanted to get into our room. Are you kidding? Everything about this place was so bad that it was almost comical. The locals all laughed when we mentioned that our original reservation was at the EconoLodge. They apparently know better. It's a complete joke as a hotel. (FYI, we ended up at the Comfort Inn, which was very nice).
