Quality Inn Akron, Akron

The only clean thing about this hotel was the check-in area. Otherwise it is dingy and dirty. The parking lot is dark at night. I missed the entrance twice because of no lighting. Once in the hotel hallway, you realize its not gonna be good. My wife, daughter and I checked in later in the evening. So we were kind of stuck where we were. The hallway walls and carpet were dingy at best. Once in the room it felt like we were in a cheap dirty crack house. The a/c unit had mold growing in it. The furniture and carpeting were stained and smelled. When I pulled down the blankets there was a dead bug on the sheets. The t.v. kept shutting off. When I called the front desk about the wireless Internet not working, they commented it hasn't worked for a while and it was after hours and they couldn't do anything about it anyway. Half the lights in the room did not work. Then comes the bad part. The bathroom was just plain gross. It was not clean. There was hair on the tub. The bathtub wall was coming apart. The first 2 towels I pulled off the rack had dirty stains on them. And the plumbing squealed loud every time the toilet was flushed. Even though we all slept in our clothes and on top of the blankets, I still itched the rest of the day after we checked out. I advise everyone to stay as far from this hotel as possible. I promise you would get a nicer hotel even at a cheap pay by the hour place somewhere else.

When we first opened the door of the hotel room, it smelled pretty musty and damp. I should have asked for a different room, but we were only staying overnight, so I didn't bother. When we went down for breakfast the next morning, the selection was fine, the lady working was friendly, but the bread was moldy. I don't know how long it had been sitting out, but it made me wonder how long all of the food had been sitting around. Otherwise, the stay was okay. I don't think I would go back again.

We enjoy the carousel dinner & theater in Akron Ohio. Coming from Pittsburgh its 110 miles so we stay here for convenience. The theater is about 2 miles easy drive. The hotel was clean and the desk person was very helpfull. Denny Morrissey Pittsburgh Pa.

It appeared the Hotel was going through some changes. It needed a bigger breakfast area and maybe a restaurant within walking distance.

Accommodations were very nice, except for the bathtub stopped up with water when I took a shower. The front desk was informed of the stoppage and they offered a bathroom in another room. We appreciated their promptness in trying to rectify a bad situation
