Southern Hills Inn, South Point

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 6 years and it once was a very nice hotel when it was a Best Western. This last stay in June of 06 was a total disaster. The upkeep of the rooms were very disappointing. We had 2 rooms and here are a few examples of what the rooms were like. Rooms smelled like urine, floors not vacuumed, stained chairs, smoke detector hanging by the wires, bed sheets not changed from previous occupant, bad TV reception, no hot water in shower, no air in one room and commode did not flush. We had to go to the desk and request toilet paper and towels that were badly stained plus the pool was out of service. Needless to say we will never stay here again. We spoke to the desk clerk about these problems and we were never offered any sort of a refund or compensation, just excuses.

This hotel is very clean. And well mainten property. Nice room setup. They also have free inernet access. And very nice up the hill hotel.

Hotel attendants always courteous and helpful. Hotel updating some rooms. Good value for the area. Bring a laptop - high speed internet!
