Hotel is Very Accomadating
By ,
I'm a minister in the Minot area and The Vegas motel has always been very good at helping those in need by giving our church a great rate on rooms for those who need a place to stay. I have personally stayed in one of their rooms once. It was very clean and spacy. Also compared to most of the rates in town, they are very reasonably priced even at regular price. They even have an indoor pool and great dining in house! I would suggest staying here!

helpful to flood victims
By ,
I am one of the unfortunate that had their home flooded this spring. Even though the motel was at full capactiy due to other flood victims and oil and construction workers, they did what they could to get me get a room, even if it was even for a day here and there, over the course of the last few months. The staff was always friendly and made me feel welcome. Thank you Vegas Motel for helping me out in the difficult times that I had been facing.

GREAT Assistance for foreign travelers!!
By ,
Our international company is sending 6 staff to Minot to do a site visit on grain plots on July 6. They learned the hotel they reserved is not operating due to the current flooding in Minot. My office, being in the States, was asked to find them an alternative. I phoned The Vegas and an incredible reservation woman worked diligently to find me the 6 rooms needed, plus at a reduced rate! I can't thank her (sorry she didn't want to mention her name) and The Vegas for the wonderful customer service, especially during this terrible flooding. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

What a stay, or say desaster...
By ,
the only like that I can say is it was a roof over my head, other than that I had to fight off the bugs and god only knows what else. I tried to open the curtain and it ended up on the floor, I had to fix it myself because they dont have maintenance people. trash in the hallways is a common thing, I had to buy my own Lysol to kill the gut wrenching smells in the room. The thing that sent me over the top was when I saw mice running down the halls and going in other rooms under the door. God help this place

Extremely Filthy, Bedbugs and overpriced.
By ,
Room was filthy, we found food IN the bed. It took them an hour to bring us new sheets, which we had to put on ourselves. We also found evidence of bedbugs in the morning, and think we brought them home with us. Long story short, I hope this place burns down with the management still inside.

Depends What You're Looking For...
By ,
I had to stay at the Vegas for 13 nights due to work in Minot. One of my collegues left because he said bedbugs had bit him. I, too, got bitten, but as I did not see the bugs, I can't be sure entirely if they were bedbugs or some other bug. Either way, I am now at home and worried about whether I've brought any bedbugs into my clean, beautiful home (I've washed everything in hot water and steamed my suitcases, but still...!) That being said, any hotel, even the fanciest, can get bedbugs. My greater concern with the Vegas is: -maids that start pounding on your door at 9am for "housekeeping" (can they not wait until 11am??) This happened daily, despite my kind request for later housekeeping. -sheets that were only changed ONCE in the 13 nights I was there (I know this because I had gotten a food stain on my sheets, so it was easy to tell they weren't changed). I don't believe that stay-over guests need new sheets daily, but every few days would have been nice -the bathroom floor was not cleaned until I requested it (Apparantly, at the Vegas, housekeeping consists of fresh towels and making your bed with it's dirty sheets) -the pool is murky & although I love to swim, I did not go it -I called 3 times to get toilet paper (once in the morning before leaving for work, once around dinner time when I stopped at the hotel, and then again at 10pm when I got back to the hotel for the night). The desk clerk did a big sigh on the phone like I was asking for the moon, but he did bring it to me. This hotel is fine for construction workers and the like, if they are not too picky about where they are staying. This is not a traveler's hotel. The food is very good and there are always a lot of people in the restaurant/bar. The location is also excellent - right across from the airport.

Stay Away
By ,
I called and reserved a room for my family and I. I should have looked at the reviews for this place, because the instant I got there I wanted to leave. This hotel is disgusting. Trash on the hallway floors. Broken bed. Blinds in my room were destroyed. Litter in the room. Everything about this place just screamed that none of the staff or management care about cleaning and maintaining the hotel, Absolutely appalling that a business could be run that way. I know the only reason that this place stays in business is because of the housing shortage up here. Otherwise it would shut down. I wouldn't even bring a hooker to this place. All of the reviews are absolutely right on the mark. Words can not express how much of a dump this place is. Save your money and go elsewhere. I know I did. 5 minutes after I seen my room I was at the front desk demanding my money back.

This place was creepy
By ,
The walls were stained, the floor was stained, the decor was gaudy, the rooms were cramped because of an enormous closet/entertainment center/ fridge/microwave thing that took up most of the room. One entire wall was made out of mirrors... (weird)? The pool was closed... uhg. The food at 'The Sevens' restaurant was good, but the room service charge was outrageous, and to top it off they add their own gratuity on top of the room service fee I was charged. Overall this place was creepy, run-down, and cramped.
