Depends What You're Looking For...
I had to stay at the Vegas for 13 nights due to work in Minot. One of my collegues left because he said bedbugs had bit him. I, too, got bitten, but as I did not see the bugs, I can't be sure entirely if they were bedbugs or some other bug. Either way, I am now at home and worried about whether I've brought any bedbugs into my clean, beautiful home (I've washed everything in hot water and steamed my suitcases, but still...!)
That being said, any hotel, even the fanciest, can get bedbugs. My greater concern with the Vegas is:
-maids that start pounding on your door at 9am for "housekeeping" (can they not wait until 11am??) This happened daily, despite my kind request for later housekeeping.
-sheets that were only changed ONCE in the 13 nights I was there (I know this because I had gotten a food stain on my sheets, so it was easy to tell they weren't changed). I don't believe that stay-over guests need new sheets daily, but every few days would have been nice
-the bathroom floor was not cleaned until I requested it (Apparantly, at the Vegas, housekeeping consists of fresh towels and making your bed with it's dirty sheets)
-the pool is murky & although I love to swim, I did not go it
-I called 3 times to get toilet paper (once in the morning before leaving for work, once around dinner time when I stopped at the hotel, and then again at 10pm when I got back to the hotel for the night). The desk clerk did a big sigh on the phone like I was asking for the moon, but he did bring it to me.
This hotel is fine for construction workers and the like, if they are not too picky about where they are staying. This is not a traveler's hotel.
The food is very good and there are always a lot of people in the restaurant/bar. The location is also excellent - right across from the airport.
