Glad to be gettin out!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/10
I stayed in the El Rancho for over 2 and a half months. The room was large and the internet was good, however after tring to get my room cleaned I was informed it had been cleaned a week earlier and it was my fault it was dirty, I was flabergasted. Then I requested to possibly get towels which i hadn;t had clean ones in a week and was told they would see what they could do. I have decided to move to another hotel in the area and recieved a letter stating if I dont give notice of my departure three days prior I'll be charged for the room anyways. Hmm, thought the point of a hotel was day by day let alone they cant just adjust my contract. The only real positive of this hotel is one front desk employee who has bent over backwards for me trying to make up for all the others failure, I believe her name is Cherryl. Its really too bad this hotel got cought up in the luxury of an oil boom and let thier standards fall.

Fantastic Food!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/09
We recently spent some time in Williston, ND where we stumbled on the restaurant at the El Rancho motel. The food was fantastic, inexpensive and hot! The wait staff was superb and the food arrived at the table quickly. Unfortunately the motel, which looked really nice, was full for the days we were in Williston and our experience would have been much better if we had been able to book rooms there. Next time, only the El Rancho or we change dates!

I,m from Williston and am now very citified and well traveled. This motel is my home when I go to N.Dak.It may be small town but it,s.friendly, clean, quiet and has great food. I,ve been all over the world and this is the best in Williston.Enjoy

Great restaurant and quick service!
By Robert, 02/13/09
I have stayed briefly at the El Rancho Hotel when I first moved to Williston but it wasn't until just the other day that I finally ate in their restaurant with a buddy who has lived in town his whole life. My steak was cooked just the way I like it and service was on the ball. With the small community and commonplace "chain stores" there aren't many good original restaurants in Williston but this is certainly the exception. I tend to enjoy local establishments over national franchises. After dinner we also had a few drinks in their lounge. (glad their lounge is smoke free as I hate smoking) They have numerous flat panel screens and comfortable seating. I look forward to making the El Rancho my new favorite place to have a nice sit down dinner in Williston and would recommend their steak.

Forgotten what customer service is!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/08
Because of the oil field business, they don't have to care because they are filled every night. "If you don't want to stay here, too bad. Someone else will rent the room." Dark and Dingy would be their strong point.
