Village Inn Golf N Conf Ctr, Clemmons

I stayed in this hotel two weekends in a row. The first was in a room with just a king bed and everything was perfect. The service was excellent, well from the housekeepers. Of course it probably helps that my father and I speak Spanish. The second weekend wasn't as great, the bathroom was small and the shower head although the pressure excellent wasn't that great. There was a crack in the wall near where it met the ceiling and we could hear everything our "neighbors" were arguing about thus causing me to wake up earlier than I had planned. But on the bright side, your room key doubles as a discount card at Sagebrush, and The Cracker Barrel is just across the road. And K-Mart, for the non lazy, is within walking distance.

This hotel needs to do some serious updating. My family and I left the hotel after just being checked in for an hour. You can hear everything in the room next door and the entire building has a old musty smell. We went next door to the Super 8 where the rate was much lower and the service and facility was excellent. I know where I'll be staying at on my next visit to that area.

I visited over Memorial Day Weekend and a BMX bike competition was in town - lots of kids in the hotel but they were well-behaved and the room was quiet. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. The staff was extremely friendly. I ordered room service from the Crosby Pub and it was very good and arrived quickly. No iron in the room which would have been nice. Very limited handicap parking and no elevator but I was able to stay on the first floor. Good clean facility that just needs a facelift. I will stay there again when in town.
