I agreed when I read about the closed section of this hotel, but other than that, we were there during a snow last year and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was cozy, quiet, and nicely decorated inside with a microwave, refrigerator.. and the hotel went out of it's way to accomodate us. We also thought the hotel's location was excellent (big deal during tourist season). Overall this was not a bad place to stay for the money but if you are looking for oceanfront, look elsewhere.

AVOID THIS PLACE!The ocean front section of the hotel is 99% closed due to hurricane damage from 09/2003 with no signs of repairs. It is "roped off" with orange plastic barriers and even the front sign say, "yes we are open" because it looks like it is closed from the street. There are only 11 rooms open on the beach side of the road, which is where we stayed. The only beach access was a block from our room at the public beach access. The rooms are small with tiny bathrooms. Absolutely not worth the money.
