Too expensive for what you get.
By Jan P, 7/17/10
Like: good bed, soft sheets, very cool a/c, nice channel selection, easy to connect to wireless internet. Dislike: incredibly slow and inept front desk service, only window in room looked out to interior hallway, common areas & hallways not air conditioned, small fuzzy vintage TV from 1990, no toilet paper holder (had to reach back to the tank top), the IHOP breakfast was a limited menu and you had to go back to the pathetic, wait forever front desk to get a voucher--why not give me the voucher when I got my room key?

Choose another hotel
By CharlesR, 6/30/10
We stayed here June 2010 for short vacation. Found a good rate on line with full breadfast so I thought it was a good deal. Hotel needs much, much cleaning and updating. The Ramada web site says that the property is "all new," but I wonder how they define the term. Aair conditioner sounded like a freight train when it cycled. Bathroom was dirty and the tub was so slick we feared falling. The sink had been updated and at least the beds were comfortable. You get a special menu at the attached IHOP for your free breakfast. Some of the other guests looked a little questionable. To top it all, the toilet seat was so loose I thought it would come off. Of course the manager was never around or in a meeting. The clincher was being charged for use of the safe when we didn't use it. Poor, poor service.

Needs improvement.
By none, 6/27/10
I stayed here for a week on company business and first things first they had my reservations messed up. When i did get a room it had 4 light bulbs blown, the coax plug on the back of the tv was broke, not enough plug ins for all the appliances, no microwave, and my towel had a hole in it that you could fit a soda can through. Definetly needs to be remodeled.

good location, but
By *****, 5/10/10
Is in serious need of rehab. It is in a great location and the price was reasonable. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Rooms need to be updated.

Pretty nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/08
My family hosts a family reunion there every christmas and we have for the past 10-15 years. It doesnt dissapoint me.. The 2007 reunion was kind of upsetting because the pool was down and they kept telling us it would be open but it never happened. But they where just fixing it up to make it look better. Like it does now. The rooms are pretty nice. Sometimes bathrooms are dirty though. They dont have many housekeepers. Last visit there was only 2 and one of them wasnt working. The front desk is sometimes slow. But they dont have much help. I do like the hotel for its lobby. Its lobby is great, and fun to play in. They have a nice workout room and game room but sometimes the games are broken. It was once a verrry nice hotel and their working at building it back up. I like this hotel and our family will continue to have a rueunion there every christmas for a long time to come.

This place sucks
By Ricky, 2/18/08
Very Dated rooms. Broken towel racks in the corner. Coffee maker with no coffee pot. Electrical sockets hanging out of the walls. Dirty rooms, lumpy carpets, dirty grounds and parking lots filled with beer cans and assorted trash. Mattresses leaning against walls out side the room stairs. The free breakfast turned out to be hostess dough nuts and cheap pastries. Definitely my last stay at this place. Pay a few extra dollars and get a decent place. Ramada should not have allowed occupancy in a number of these rooms, one of which was mine.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/07
October 12,13 2007 My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights, which was 2 too many. The first evening we had to change rooms two times due to rooms without working lights, all appliances unplugged, a shower curtain hanging by a thread, and brown icky water backing up into the bathtub. The restaurant/bar was closed for repair, the hot tub was cold, and the fountain was empty, there were rugs covering cracks on the floor in the atrium, there was free coffee in the lobby, but no cups, and there was no change available for any of the so called services(laundry, vending machines, etc.)The sheets were stained and thread-bare and were NOT changed after the first night. The staff was not helpful when notified of problems. This facility is under renovation(ongoing excuse by the staff) and should be closed until it is completed. We will never stay at this "Bates" hotel again and we would never recommend it to our worst enemies!

What isn't broken ?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/07
My wife and I stayed here 9/2/07 through 9/4/07. First thing when we arrived we wanted to shower, but there were no towels in the room. No towels at the front desk. Went to eat came back still NO towels went to front desk again. No towels they tried to leave some but "WE" didn't answer the door and their master key didn't work. I waited at the front desk for them to go to the laundry room and get some from the dryer unfolded so we could take a shower. Back at the room I left the water running for 10 minutes still cold. 10:30 pm went to pool area Pool dirty 30-40 kids running everywhere Jacuzzi full of kids also full of cold water .Went to the sauna. About the time I position the boards from the broken seat so that we could sit a hotel employee came and made everyone leave the pool area becaused it closes at 11:00pm. Back in the room still no hot water for a shower. Next morning finally we get hot water for a shower but very low pressure. The only thing better the next night was that I had clean towels. I did have a comfortable bed, but could have gotten that at any budget class hotel for less money. Back at home while going through receipts I find that I was also charged for a safe that not only did I not use, but never even had a key to .A good hotel would have been discounting the room and trying to make us happy with our stay, but no they charge us for something we didn't even use. This is the last mid class stay for us. If I want a budget stay I'll get a budget class hotel. Otherwise We'll stay at upper class hotels you may pay a little more, but at least everything works when you get there or they make it right. Also broken was the two pool tables and the indoor water fountain was empty. The hotel also has a restaurant, but like everything else it was closed. This hotel is in a severe state of disrepair.
