Not what we were looking for...
By MissMargaret, 04/27/09
It seems like they are working to improve the place. But even the re-modeled rooms comes with no blanket and no coffee pot. Sheets and bedspread only, and a 3 hour wait for a thin skanky blanket. On the plus side, they rent rooms in 3 and 6 hour increments. So if we ever want to save a little, we can just check in for a quick 6 hour nap.

During my visit, the motel was under construction (they started working at 6 in the morning, which was not an issue for me, but for those late-sleepers it could be irritating). I happened to stay in both an older room and a remodelled room during my 2-day stay. The remodelled room was a HUGE step up in all dimensions compared to the older rooms (and an extra $15, which I felt was well worth it). The only problem I found with the remodelled room was the brand-new chain locks, which were useless because of how they were installed. All-in-all, if you're looking for a less-expensive place to stay which is a close drive to NYC, it's not bad at all. Plus, there is a nice grocery store right across the street
