Bed bug, Poor service

First the night staff could not handle a problem with the TV, traveled with child who has xbox, the TV was old out dated, and very dark, More importantly there was a bug larve in the bed. The staff were not friendly, the breakfast was awful they served coffee with the creamer or milk, the counters were not cleaned of spills, in addition the tables were not cleaned by staff there. The staff there acted as though they were doing me a favor by staying there. If you have options use them.

Booked a room with all the bells and whistles. Checked in and found a very small room, none of the amenities (king sized bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, etc, is here). Smells like sour milk in here.

Liked- close location to the airport, and the shuttle driver was a very kind soul. Disliked- dirty, unique odor, disinterested front desk staff, TV old and not working, rooms poorly ventilated and stuffy, just all around third world and dingy...yikes, yuck!!

First of all, I have to say, THANK GOD, the review for this hotel was scary, but I guess after staying there I owe to my self n the personel that helped me out a review. I am a what they called a "Distress Passenger". When the storm hit Texas n Florida, I was stranded in La Guardia Airport for about 2 days, I can tell u I was not very happy with my Air line, there was no hotel available for miles due to all the delays. I tried expedia, orbits, travolocity, I tried everywhere, there was no rooms available, so I hailed the only hotel van I see at the air port 2 in the morning, that is where I met Rudy the Security/Driver n Sam the front desk personel at the Clarion hotel. Even though there was no room available, but they were kind enough to provided me a way to get to a resturant so I can eat something, let me stay in their Lobby so I can rest a bit until a room is available for me, after a long day at the airport, it almost bring me to tears. At about 3:30am Sam got a call, a person canceled their reservation! he promptedly gave me the room at their regular rate, n I can tell u, it is very clean, spaciouse n the price was not that bad. After I read all the comment from all the people that stay there before me, I really wonder if they went to the same hotel as I did? I am actually at the hotel right now on their Wi Fi internet service typing away after the long trip on the second day, n I can tell u there is not a thing wrong with this hotel, I have seen bad hotels in London, NYC, n in all different places, this was not one of them. I did ask the front desk at the hotel in the morning, apparently they was remodeling at the time when all the complaint was written, and I feel bad that they have to endure all the bad reviews from it. I may be wrong, maybe I missed something there, but I give this hotel top rating for the proffessionalism, service, cleaniness, location (2 city blocks away from the airport), n last but not least, kindness that made my crazy ordeal easier to bear

DO NOT STAY!!

The hotel was dirty in the lobby and in the hallways. The rooms were very small and musty and did not include a phone book. Customer service was crappy and there was only one SMALL drink machine in the entire place and it half way didnt work. We also were mislead that the hotel had a bar and we actually never did see it open. The continental breakfast was not anything special and the area that it was in was nasty and I felt like no one cleaned it well. We were also told that the distance to manhattan was 5 miles but it was way futher and we paid taxi bills galore to get into the city. We also were told that the subway did not run close to the clarion but there was one located somewhere off of ditmar/astoria. By the time we found that out, it was the end of our vacation and we had already spent all that money on taxi's. Probably the least paid person employed there was most helpful. We just had a bad experience here and I would not recommend for anyone to stay here not unless they had to stay here a quick night. The positives were they let us check in as soon as we got to the hotel and kept our luggage for us the last day when we checked out so we could shop and do some other things. This hotel just about ruined our vacation monetary wise and emotionally.

Construction Nightmare

If you MUST renovate the hotel, then think about either closing it or maintaining a semblence of cleanliness. Dust and cigarette but covered hallways is unacceptable.

Better than I thought

After reading reviews I went to the hotel with fear and trepidation. I didn't choose it and presume the price was right for the people who did. I found it decent. It was clean and they were in the midst of renovations. The free breakfast was better than adequate. Some of the staff were particularly kind and helpful although one of them suckered me into taking a limo to Manhattan instead of a cab. Limo-$45+tip. Cab-$25+tip. One weird thing, the second floor slanted hall sloped down so going back to the elevator was like climbing a hill.

Do not park here

I dropped my car off at the parking lot of the Clarion Hotel near LaGuardia Airport on Thursday night and picked it up on Sunday night. My car had the contents of every compartment spread over the front seats with the center console and glove compartment left open. The attendant told me that my car was so dirty that he would not even get in it to move it for pick up. It did not even dawn on him that someone had gone through my car looking for valuables. My car has an automatic alarm when locked and your people had the key. There was no sign of it being broken into for access. I can only assume that someone working for you did this to my car. I took my GPS with me. At this point I am still not sure what may be missing or have been taken. I notice that my receipt has my entire credit card number on it, which also causes me concern for obvious reasons. I spoke to Dean on the phone and he said he was shocked, but I felt he was not concerned enough to take any actions. My business will not be using your establishment again and neither will anyone or everyone that I have the opportunity to tell about this unfortunate experience through whatever means at my disposal. After reading most of the reviews for your hotel I guess none of this is a shock or news to you.

Aweful. Don't stay there!

The beddings in the room seem to be quite a few years old and smell funcky. Worst of all, I saw a small LIVE MOUSE IN THE ROOM!!!! Don't stay there!!!

we don't want to come again

some of staff are very uncomfprtable they can't coopoerate with costomer. mainly the paeson sitting on recption .room service is ok good. transport facility is also good. only dislike is that some staff do not want to give right information about any thing we ask. they give wrong information and behave rudly .this is not good for the hotel.manager is also very helpful.
