Can't Be Beat in Buffalo Area

Just stayed at the Lord Amherst for 3 nights for my sons college graduation. The room was $67.00. The hotel is about 40 years old but well maintained and very clean. The all American staff is very cordial and helpful, the lobby and public breakfast area remind me of a 70s Adirondak lodge( Real slate floor, real wood walls and large beamed vaulted ceiling). All of the globes in the many high chandeliers are sparkling clean. It was also very quiet and convenient. I have stayed in many $200/night hotels that weren't as comfortable and clean as this one. No need to waste your money on an expensive hotel in Buffalo while the Lord Amherst is around.

The place was built in the seventies. Clean. Well maintained. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms. Clean all over.$68.00 for a a night. Worth the money. Highly recommended.

Not glamorous, but adequate and inexpensive

This hotel is convenient to all in the Buffalo area: airport, UB, the city itself. It is clean but old and definitely not glamorous. The wireless internet service was great. The staff were friendly. The breakfast modest but adequate. The location is noisy (near the Thruway and on Main St) but as a woman traveling alone, I found comfort in the busy-ness and felt safe enough. It was very inexpensive: cost me $65 per night for a room with a queen bed. I wouldn't come here with my family, but for me to stay here two nights was okay.
