Do NOT Stay Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/30/08
The "family suite" consisited of a two bedrooms and one bath. The adult side had a heart shaped bathtub and mirrors on the ceiling. Fun to explain why there are mirrors on the ceiling to your kids. Glitter was everywhere. Fresh paint just about choked us out, it was spread on the windows and dripped everywhere. One TV didnt' work, the other didnt' have a remote. When I called the front desk to ask about the remote, the told me to come down and get one. Then they handed me a remote to a different brand of TV and acted mad when I asked them about it. Oh, no air conditioning either. I just couldn't get over how dirty and outdated everything was. Gas station bathrooms have been cleaner. Even the parking lot looked like a landfill. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never been in another one this bad.

Needs Remodeling
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/25/08
The History of this Hotel is awesome. There were plaques on the wall telling the past history of the hotel. This place really jumped back in the day and I know it can jump again. We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms need remodeled badly. If the rooms and lobby were updated it would put the casino and other hotels in the area out of business. It used to have a full time doorman. What does that tell you about the history. The location is great. It has so much architeture potential. It's sad to see a Niagara Falls piece of history falter and go unnoticed.

I will not go back, to this hotel
By a2jleo74, 9/18/07
I went with a group and we stay in this hotel, on september 15th. 2007. just for one night. The service:the frontdesk was actually good and they were friendly, the elevator wasn't working when we came back in the night so we had to wait for around 4 minutes or so, because it was a lot of people want it to go up and it wasn't just my group. the equipment of the rooms were not that good, the beds and the furnitures were good, but the TV was old, no vcr's or DVD players, even if you want it to connect a vcr or a dvd player, it had no connection, just some channels, but I had a nice view to Ontario and the Niagara's falls, the bathroom didn't have no soap. Cleanliness: the halls look ok, the room was clean, but the shower walls and corners of the bath tubes, had black spots, I used the stairs to go down, and they look like a storage building and they were actually dirty. One of my friends had bedbugs, and she actually got bites of it, even thou I did not have that just for that I will not go back. also my window was broke you couldn't open it because it will close down. The Lobby look ok. Location: Is great, you are really close actually, you can actually walk, VALUE: well actually, Is cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.

Not the Best
By NicoleM, 7/18/07
We stayed at the Ramada on our first wedding anniversary. I booked online based on price and proximity to the Falls and crossed my fingers that the reviews had been overly harsh and that it was not as bad as other people said... When we arrived we were greated by a foul smelling parking lot strewn with trash. Inside the lobby was nice though and the front desk staff was helpful enough. I don't know that the gift shop or restaurant was ever open while we were there, which didn't bother us because we don't eat Indian food and there are plenty of other gift shops nearby. We enjoyed using the revolving door and imagining what this place must've been like in its day. We had a jacuzzi room on the seventh floor and noticed a garbage can at the end of the hall being used to catch water dripping from the ceiling. Our key card didn't work well the first day and completely quit working the second, so we had to get a replacement. Inside the room was okay, the furniture was starting to show some wear and the carpet was a little dusty around the edges, but we didn't see any bugs. The bathroom was tiny, especially the shower, and could've been a bit cleaner. We saved our sandals from the Cave of the Winds and wore them to shower. There were hairs in our heart shaped jacuzzi... Our A/C worked fine but our TV remote did not. The TV only got around 20 channels, a couple of which only came in fuzzy. We noticed that although there was a lamp on either side of the bed, only one worked because there wasn't even an outlet anywhere near the other one for it to be plugged in. We couldn't actually see the Falls from our room but we could see the mist above them and the skyline of Canada. It was nice being able to walk to all the area attractions but we would probably stay elsewhere next time.

stay away from this dump. we managed to stick it out for 2 nights...the AC wasn't working. the front desk offered to come up and open the window, possibly to let us jump to escape the torture of this hotel. when i called back to ask again about the AC they said they were sending some up. nobody showed up. we couldn't see the falls from this place.

wonderful
By TEJASH, 5/19/07
the price and location were better than expected. The rooms were nicely furnished and the service was excellant. I was impressed with both the lounge and the jacuzzi in the room. I would recommend this place to any one looking for a fine hotel at an econlomical price.

Great location
We really liked the location of the hotel for it being on the states side. We also liked the people that worked at the hotel but our room wasnt the nicest place i have ever stayed in. The carpet was dirty and our room was very aged. The first night we stayed there our sheets had a stain so my fiance had to sleep on a towel because it was to late to get them changed...even though I wish we did. for the money and no longer we stayed there it was worth the money but we wont stay here again. The lobby also stunk really bad.

condemn this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/3/06
Absolutely disgusting! If you are considering a stay here, take a look at all of these bad reviews! There should be an undercover television production of this mess of a hotel. I'd like to see the owners locked up for endangering the lives of the guests that stay here. The mold alone will harm you. DON'T make a mistake and stay here - you will regret it!
