BEST WESTERN Albany Airport Inn, Albany

Stuck in a room by the indoor pool which supposedly closed at 9. I called to complain about noise around 11. The room was ratty and hideously decorated. Room service delivered ok food but there were BUGS floating in my martini. My bill was screwed up with an incorrect home address and charges. Still haven't gotten this straightened out since the "staff" is very defensive and won't llisten. AVOID IF YOU CAN

I needed a place to stay in Albany and I needed a place near the airport. The Shuttle drivers were very respectful and punctual. Picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. The front desk staff was cordial and they even had free cookies for their guests. for $99.99 it really is a great value for all the amenities such as the shuttle drivers, the indoor heated pool and the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Highly recommended

I just returned from a weekend stay at this so-called hotel and it was a complete dissapointment. The drapes in the room were all stained, the walls were covered in dust and the carpet was dirty, it was just a complete mess of a place. After being out all day Saturday, we returned to our room in the evening to find that only one of the beds were made and absolutely nothing else had been done except empty out the two trashcans!! There were dirty washclothes in the bathtub, tissues on the floor, dirty napkins on the table remained where they were left in the morning,and nothing had been cleaned. When we checked out on Sunday morning, we informed the hotel manager, and was told that this is not the way the hotel is run and they would be sure to tell the head of housekeeping. Yeah,sure. This was not unique to us, we were with a large group and everyone was very dissapointed. You couldn't pay me to stay at this horrible place agian!!

The last time my family stayed at Best Western was the nite before leaving for Florida. We didn't have any problem with our room. It was very clean and cozy. We like the idea, that they will transport you to the airport and can leave your car there while your gone. It's also on the same road as many popular restaurants and a mall including Duncan Donuts!! I do remember though that they would rather you use your credit card than cash. When we arrived they weren't too happy that we wanted to pay cash instead of a credit card. All and all we were there one nite, enjoyed the peace and quiet, were able to go places not to far away, and have a ride in the morning to the airport. Conveinent. For the price you pay, you can't beat it. If your looking for something better, than your going to pay a lot more!!

We found Best Western staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The location was great and we had great service to and from the airport. the breakfast was nice with a few choices. They kept our car while we were gone which Saved a lot of money for parking. We would stay again and would recommend this Hotel to others.

The rooms were sub-standard, there was a 3 inch deep by 2 inch diameter hole in my floor (what a safety hazard!) The room was non-smoking but I sneezed and coughed all weekend because the whole hotel smelled of smoke. They had 2 parties while I was there which made the hotel noisy late into the evening(we're talking 4am). My phone did not work all weekend and they never fixed it or offered to move me. The shuttle service was unreliable even though guaranteed in the reservation. I was left several places for hours and had to call cabs instead. The heated pool they talk so much about had a green slime covering the bottom, no way was I going in! The hotel staff was the most unprofessional, rude and incompetent I have ever come across. When I asked for them to pick me up from somewhere the manager literally yelled at me and called me several insulting names. I complained and told Best Western customer service what they had done and said to me. They contacted the manager and he and the staff literally lied about the situation so Best Western would not do anything. I was absolutely shocked when this all happened, it was like a nightmare. You couldn't pay me to stay in a Best Western ever again!

My husband and I reserved a room on the internet on 20 April 2005 and were told to print off the receipt which stated that we paid 100.73 for the room. When we got to the hotel the lady checking us in did not want to look at the receipt and she told us we did not pay and we were charge a second time. She was very unprofessinal and was not customer service friendly. We then went to our room and it was not the room we reserved. The next morning when my husband went to check out he also told the guy on duty that we all ready paid and for at least 15 minutes the guy argued with him. So still we paid almost 200.00 for one room with one bed in it. Now four days later here in Spokane Wa I call and talk to a Roman in accounting at Best Western in Albany. He said that the supervisor reversed the 89.00 for the 29th on that day in the afternoon but still our checking account does not reflet it. I was also told by Roman that it would take 2 day to be reversed and it's all ready been four since we checked out. I told him how the staff treated us and that I wanted to talk to the owner and I was told three times by Roman that the staff at the hotel had a good relationship with the owner if we complained it would be rough for my husband and myself. I finall told Roman that he was threating us if we went to the manager that things would become harder for them at the hotel but he was also saying things would be hard for us also because we went over the managers head. He said you missed understood me and I told him I didn't. He said I will give you the owners number and name after I asked for it several times abd ge would not give it to me becasue he said I needed to talk to the manager and not go over his head until I was really mad. I am disabled and did not deserve this treatment for either myself or my husband. We have stayed at Best Westerns before several time and enjoyed our stay but after this expericene we do not want to stay at them again. We are not even shore this will go to the owner of the hotle. I left a message at the number Roman gave me for the owner but I am note sure that it was the correct number for the owner as Roman did not want me to call him and complain. I checked our checking account and the money is still not put back in our account and we still paid for a room that was not the one we reserved.
