Try another hotel if you can.....
Kingston, NY Ramada Inn could not guarantee the reservation made and once in a room, front desk staff would not transfer to a new room although room was quite unsatisfactory. Problems found included stained furniture, advertisements plastered on back of doors, open bottles of shampoo and conditioner, poor lighting (including burned out bulbs), construction underway outside of room, ripped tiles in ceiling, etc. Most of the problems were attributed to housekeeping although room had been recently refurbished. You would also think that for the price paid for the stay (before national chain management notified and provided some reimbursement), a continental breakfast would be included. Overcharged for inadequate stay and general manager aloof to good customer service. Beginning 2005, this location will be switching to a different national chain - hopefully new chain will require management to improve customer relations.
