Too much $, too little to offer

We paid $350 for a room in the Colonial house. The furniture looked like thrift store finds. We had a small table w/2 folding chairs (real class). The woodwork, bathroom floor, legs of wood furniture and areas around objects on top of wood furniture were thick w/dust. No pen or pad at the phone, mattress very high off floor you could see down feathers covering the carpet from the comforter, towels stacked on toilet tank (yuck). You could see edge of carpet not vacuumed. They would upgrade us for about another $100 - no thanks. They sent someone to clean it but it wasn't much better. Also found out during the nite, the a/c didn't work that well. I can say this room was not even worth what I'd pay at a chain. Very disappointing. The hotel has a beautiful setting & some of the rooms in the other buildings were nicer I understand but I wouldn't chance it.
