Not a satisfied feeling
By ,
Very expensive for what you get. Some rooms have fire places which is great but they charge you $50 for the wood which only last for about a few hours. (why just not include this in the roomprice for we already paid $1250 per night anyway). We had breakfast for the two of us it cost more then $100 for a simple plain breakfast. Thats ridiculous. It is an expensive hotel and I am used to that but in this place they also try to add a lot of margin to stupid small things. Not chique at all and for sure not smart in a Europeans man vision. Also the restaurant from the hotel "the post house" is terrible. Its a low quality stakehouse and everything is swimming in grease. The food is so heavy and unhealthy thats not normal. A piece of steak of more then 1 kilo per person. Incredible . We asked for the bill for we didn't want to stay in such a place. Then they offered us (which was kind of course) an amazing piece of heavy cheesecake. Sorry this was clearly not our place and we felt is was deffinately not fitting the etablishement The Lowell is pretending to be. Rooms were not cleaned properly. BEhind the curtain you see major cracks in the wall. In the kitchen in the suite the dishwasserwas broken and you could pull it out of it socked. For that price, there is no next time. Though the staff was friendly, especially Anthony the Concierge. Thanks for that.

What a great place to stay!!
By ,
Our stay at The Lowell was very memorable. Probably one of the best in my many years of traveling. The service could not have been better. The room was amazing and the location (especially if you like to shop Madison Ave. & enjoy Central Park) was as good as it gets. The entire staff worked hard to insure a perfect stay.

A new york classic, one of the best in the field. everything thay say is true:
Located on a quiet, tree-lined street off Madison Avenue, The Lowell is in the heart of New York s most exclusive and fashionable Upper East Side. With only 47 individually decorated suites and 21 deluxe rooms, the hotel lavishes its guests with truly personalized service and great attention to detail. Among the many thoughtful touches are complimentary beverages upon arrival, Fiji water at turndown and a selection of Bulgari amenities. Most suites have wood-burning fireplaces, some have terraces, and almost all have fully equipped kitchens.
