Kutshers Country Club, Thompson

I've been entertaining at the New Kutsher since it opened, and it's has been a great venue and hotel for Jewish music in the NorthEast, The food is great! the rooms comfortable and the staff excallent! I hope to keep coming back, year after year, They just keep getting better and better.

My Wife and 3 kids spent a weekend here over the summer and we had a lovely time. I think some of the other reviews here might have been expecting the Ritz Carlton hotel or something but fear not, this hotel is up to par and very well organized. I used to vacation as a kid with my parents in the Catskills and this is the last hotel of its kind. Several of the best aspects: 1) Kosher, all years round! 2) Great Catskills style food, brought back so many lovely memories 3) The MOST family and kid friendly hotel we have been to. Where else can kids run around freely and safely in our day in time? Nowhere! The new management has done a fine job continuing the traditions that made Kutsher's great over the years. I hope to come back again soon, maybe Passover, so we don’t need to cook for holidays. Also trying to organize our synagogue’s yearly retreat there.

They don't make hotels like this anymore. The old family style spirit is alive and well Iin the Catskills. This is the last truly kosher hotel keeping the tradition of food, entertainment, and hospitality. Made me feel like i was a kid again.

We came to Kutshers for Sukkos this year. They had a wonderful program with lectures or entertainment everyday throughout the holiday. My husband and I couldnt have had a better time! The dining room staff was so polite and helpful and we met so many nice people. We are looking forward to visiting again for Passover!

First, We entered upon arrival and there were 8-10 buckets in the lobby catching water pouring in. The smell of mold and mildew was unhealthy and gross. There was only one elevator working. The best was that on our second day we woke up with no hot water and no one could shower . The hot water was down all day. There is asbestos falling off the ceilings all over the place. We would not even trust the pool because of the condition of the rest of the property. If you are even thinking about this place go to another hotel. All I can say is that the buiding inspector must be on the take for this establishment to be open. LOOK ELSEWHERE

Spent three days in this filthy, disgusting hotel. Bugs, mold, mildew, dirty toilets were only some of the problems we encountered. The emergency exit door to the building wasn't even attached to the building! It was leaning against the building. Wasn't a safe place. The food was horrible, the pool was closed, the games inside the gameroom were more than 20 years old. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Despite the negative posts, I stayed at Kutsher's Resort with my family and was most welcomed by staff and didn't find the place to be dirty. I am NOT an employee,, but sincerely enjoyed my stay. My children had plenty of activities and my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy each other. I was very pleased with our accommodations and the food was very good as well.

I was here for a family reunion in June, and my whole family had a disgusting time. The smell of mold was overpowering when we first walked in, and the staff was no help when we were trying to find our room or when I was looking for the bathroom; they directed me two different ways and neither way was right. The room wasn't as bad as some people say, but it still had a disgusting feeling and there were no bottom sheets. The place looked almost abandoned, the daycare looked in disrepair, the 'cafe' of vending machines weren't stocked, the bar was closed, the coffee house was closed, and there was a sick kitten wandering the grounds as well. The Health and Safety Board found no less than 82 things wrong, and marked 19 areas that were not permitted to be used. It's a wonder we made it out of there alive, with an outlet in the pool area that was literally on fire for the inspector, emergency lights not working, uncovered and broken electrical outlets, missing fire extinguishers, fire hoses needing to be replaced, fire exit doors not in proper condition, missing carbon monoxide detectors, etc, etc. I even had health issues from the mold after returning home, including a headache that lasted over a month. This place is seriously not safe for ANY GUESTS. I waited to post this to see if I calmed down any after our stay, but I just feel that it's even worse.

My husband, children, and I spent our 4th of July weekend at this beautiful resort. Every night was full of entertainment, they even had a circus! The evenings were filled with wonderful shows. We sent our 2 children to their daycare services and they had the best time. While the children were enjoying themselves so were my husband and I at the lovely poolside and lake. The food was beyond expectation and service was delightful. Looking forward to booking again for next year!

A generation hotel for all familes that want to know that tradition which is so important today. The service is fabulous and the great country atmospher is irreplaceable.
