Speed away, literally
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/23/09
Dislike: sliding glass doors that face an abandoned courtyard area Dislike: DIRTY room, bathtub in the living room??? Seriously. Dislike: location, the general vibe Dislike: the fact that there are grills on the patios and a number of rooms that have people living in them Like: the fact that the desk clerk was so so nice to me about leaving, giving me my money back, and suggesting another hotel.

Last Visit:March 2008few good things 1.staff friendly but donot make effort to fix problems 2. free breakfast good and varied 3.location is close to restaurants but far form LLRR 4. stayed 3 nights march 2208, 1st night had trouble receiving free wireless connection, second night room was not cleaned nor towels and bath items replaced, and 3rd night infestation of bugs in bathroom. Left note in comment box on departure with both cell and email. nobody tried to contact me until i emailed HOJO main office. Then manager tells me that it was my responsibility to ask for another room. The staff was informed of problems and isn't it their responsibility to solve the issues?

HOJO is an OH NO!!

Where to start??? The staff at the front desk were good, they unfortunately are not working with much. The entire hotel needs a good coat of paint and new carpet in the hallways. All the door handles in the hotel needed to be washed as there was a black build up around every one. The room was filthy and smelled. We did not want to walk around without our shoes on!! The complimentary shampoo had been re-filled, and the bottle was dirty. Overall a poor choice of hotel for the night and not worth the price. Couldn't wait to get to our next stop for a clean shower.

Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
Possibly the dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen. Mold in the bathroom, filthy carpets, really, really bad. Took a long hot shower when I got home to wash the dirt off.

Great front desk. Clean Room. Served my Purpose.
If you are looking for a clean room and friendly service...this Howard Johnsons fills the bill. Don't judge this book by it's cover. My room was spotless, fresh, and comfortable. The furniture was great! I'd stop here again. It served my needs. You also get a free Continental breakfast.

Expensive Dive
By Sean, 06/22/05
It looks like this Howard Johnston was built in the late '70s and has not been update or renivated since. I had inscects in my room (2nd floor), the door was broken, the towles were stained, and you could not have paid me to walk around the room with out my shoes on. Definately not worth the money.
