Front desk needs coaching!
By LLL, 12/09/09
Location is great for midtown shopping and shows. Room was on 40th floor so nice and quiet. However, front desk was not welcoming and lobby is constantly full of people, populating every available seat. I have stayed at other Meridien Hotels and this hotel is more along the level of Holiday Inn than Meridien. If you're expecting anything approaching luxe, stay elsewhere!

Nice but would not stay again
By Betty, 04/20/09
My husband and I just stayed at the Meridien there were many things we did like but the negatives just outweighted the positives. The people were great very nice, the room (we had a junior suite) was nice. Bed very comfortable, room was clean. However, we use startpoints didn't get the upgrade we should have, waited over an hour for our room to be ready, the couch was very uncomfortable. When we asked for them to fix our air conditioner they came up and opened our windows! I think the biggest thing was we like having our coffee in the morning and they didn't have a coffee maker nor did they have a refridgerator in the room "we had a suite" should have had these things. When I asked for the coffee maker they said NONE of their rooms had these not even the suites. Also was supose to have internet DIDN'T WORK after so many trys with new cords (I have wireless) I finially was told they were having problems with it. They did offer for me to use the ones in the work center for 1/2 hour for free, but I bring a computer so I can have access the WHOLE time I am away not for 1/2 hour! And finally the hallways are very dark felt like I was in a horror movie each time I went to and from the elevator a little creepy. Over all the place was nice, location good but I would definately find a different place next time that catered to the comfort of their guest.

Disappointed in Meridien
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/08
Room was tiny, first time ever twin + 1/2 beds, not very comfortable. Parking $50. overnight. Breakfast at Norma's is great as long as you don't mind $8 glass of oj and $6 cup French press coffee.

Back to the 80's, poor service
By EJM, 02/27/08
I just stayed at Le Meridien for a night while in New York on business because I heard that the hotel was terrific. Despite being upgraded to a suite, entering the room was a HUGE letdown. If the whole suite looked like the bathroom it wouldn've been great. The couches, decor, fixtures, TV were straight out of the '80s. Not to mention they don't have wireless Internet, and the "high speed cable" Internet didn't even work! Also, I ordered room service for breakfast and it never came! I would love to stay again if the hotel updates the rooms and provides better service

Great hotel!
By Brad, 03/27/07
We loved our stay at the Parker Meridien. The rooms were very spacious, huge t.v.'s, large bath tubs and great service! Made our stay in NYC very comfortable. Great location for Central park, Times Square, Broadway, shopping and Rockefeller center.

My best stay in Manhattan
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/01/07
As a former employee in the big city, and one who returned there on business trips for many years after moving; I found this to be my most enjoyable stay in NYC. It's proximity to the Ad world is awesome. Everything is within walking distance. Great location. Not the least bit seedy, as you can easily run into if you don't know the city. Love the contemporary, European aspects of the hotel, food and service. NICE, comfortable rooms!!! A must in NY.

BEST XMAS EVER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/07
This has got to be the best hotel i have ever stayed in. From begining to end, there was nothing you could fault about staying at this wonderful hotel. Well worth every penny. Just a shame that the time flew by so quickly......

Beds
By Sally, 08/24/06
This hotel has the comfiest beds in the whole history of people sleeping. I didn't want to go back to my own bed after sleeping in the bed here. Enough said.

Parker Meridien is stellar!
By Jennifer D, 07/04/06
We loved everything about this hotel. We went for my boyfriend's birthday, on a weekend package. Included in the package was room service breakfast (a fantastic experience, the real royal treatment with beautiful linens and great food). The hotel upgraded us to a park view on arrival, and the view of the park is breathtaking. A great treat. The furnishings were hip and modern, and we really felt spoiled. The rooftop pool is one of the only ones in the city - believe me, I looked HARD! A *great* spot for a romantic weekend, right in the heart of the city!

Relaxing Night
By Precious, 03/23/06
Although I live in the city I got a room here one night and loved it. It was comfortable, quiet, and modern. T.V., and DVD in room panal turns so you can watch in the bedroom or livingroom. Very nice.
