A QUAINT GETAWAY IN THE WOODS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/09
WE HAVE VISITED HEIDI'S INN ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. ALTHOUGH IT IS LOCATED ON ROUTE 22 THE BUILDERS HAD THE FORESITE TO SET A MAJORITY OF THE UNITS WELL OFF THE HIGHWAY ELIMINATING THE NOISE FACTOR. THE MOTEL WAS BUILT ALMOST FIFTY YEARS AGO. IT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED BUT HAS A FEELING OF YEARS GONE BY. DO NOT EXPECT IT TO BE FANCY BUT, RATHER, FUNCTIONAL. A SMALL REFRIGERATOR WILL BE FOUND IN EACH UNIT. THE TOILET AND SHOWER ARE SEPARATE FROM THE SINK/VANITY IN A PRACTICAL FASHION. WIRELESS INTERNET IS AVAILABLE AT NO CHARGE. A POOL IS OPEN DURING SUMMER MONTHS. THE STAFF IS POLITE. WERE THEY NOT, THE MOTEL WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED FIVE DECADES. ROOMS BACK ON WOODLAND. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A QUIET SECLUDED GETAWAY IN A PEACEFUL SETTING. HEIDI'S INN WORKS WELL WITHOUT DRAINING YOUR WALLET. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS AND MARBLE TABLE TOPS TAKE ROUTE 22 SOUTH ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF TO NEW YORK CITY.................... IT IS CONVENIENT TO SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS. IT CAN EASILY BE CONSIDERED A MINI-VACATION.

cheap but you get what you pay for
By Chrissy, 04/26/09
i have stayed there on a few occaisions and am actaully staying there again very soon i have come to know what rooms to rent and what rooms to stay far away from but the room rates for only being 45 minutes from times squeare are well worth it and you get what you pay for i love the brwster area and can deal with the 70's decor for a cheap get away with friends not a place for a romantic getaway or any type of luxury boils back down to you get what you pay for

never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/08
this place was terrible. my family pulled in at about 11pm after attending my late uncle's wake. they charged $95 after charging the rest of my family 85, but we had no choice but to stay due to a big snow storm making it difficult to get back home to eastern LI. the clerk at the desk was the only nice thing about it as she drove us to our room because our car could not make it up the poorly plowed driveway leading to our room. once in the room there was no tv and the heat did not work right. the beds felt like they had been filled with newspapers. they have no idea how to treat their customers and i know that i would rather sleep in my car on the side of I684 then sleep at this place again.

Horrible!
By Bel, 11/26/08
This place is absolutely disgusting! There was mold in the bathroom, the bedsheets were disgusting, and the room smelled awful! The beds were so uncomfortable that sleep was just not possible. I also did not appreciate the woman at the front desk at check in. She was very rude and made sure to tell my husband and I that there is not partying allowed. The way she said it was very offensive and presumptuous. All we wanted was a good nights sleep instead we spent the night in hell. The next night we stayed at a beautiful Marriott for thirty dollars more, and it was right outside of the city too. Do not believe the five star reviews on this place. They are obviously fake and whoever is writing them should be ashamed of themselves. This place should be condemned! Don't waste your money on this dump!!

Keep driving up Route 22 or go to Danbury
By Seeingeyefriend, 10/17/08
The positive reviews of this place have got to be written by employees or the owners. This place is terrible. The room was disgusting, dirty, smelly and very moldy. It looked like the sheets hadn't been washed in months! Service was so-so, but didn't matter. I would up not being able to sleep at all because of the smell, I checked out and found another place right up the road not even 1 mile away. What a waste. The picture by the way is not of this place but is of the Bel-Aire which I wound up staying at up the road. Found out later that there is a Hilton, Sheraton and Holiday Inn within 20 minutes of this place in Danbury (just over the line).

This ad has incorrect pictures. These are not pictures of Heidi's Inn. They are pictures of the Bel-Aire.

Disgusting!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/08
This place is horrible. It is impossible to sleep there. The room smelled like mold (probably from the moldy shower) and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. If it wasn't freezing outside I would have slept in the car. We left early the next morning and stayed at a beautiful Sheraton for $60.00 more. Do not stay here, I am starting to think that the good reviews are from the owners and staff!

Nasty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/08
Went there with my wife to be on the outskirts of NY for a night and left because there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the sheets were also filthy. 89$ wasted. Nastiest hotel I have ever been too!

A Wonderful Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/08
The staff was a wonderful Girl! She was very friendly, cute and helpful. I was traveling through and needed a place to spend the night, the price was great and my over all experience was wonderful! I would visit this place again.

I will never go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/06
The web site made this Inn look very nice and friendly. The reviews did the same. It was discussting!Dirty, old (and we were in the "newer" part) the sheets looked dirty, the towels were dirty, and moldy smelling that were in the room, we got the third degree when asking for 2 more towles, the air conditioner did not work. The place was run down. AND the best part, you have to pay for your coffee at the continental breakfast. Never again will I stay at a place that is not with a chain! Beware, before you stay!
