Shopping Mamas Annual Trip
By Shopping Mama, 06/17/08
I have been traveling to Santa Fe in June and staying at the El Rey for ten years now. The El Rey is a jewel - it is clean, inexpensive and they give you breakfast! And it is a short drive to downtown Santa Fe, the Indian Market, theatres and many tourist attractions. The gardens are spectacular and each room is individually decorated in southwest decor. There is a playground for young ones and free internet! The hot tubs/spa are very relaxing after an intense shopping day. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to make you happy - this is not an anonomous corporate hotel with cookie cutter stamped out rooms - staying at the El Rey is part of the Santa Fe experience!

Great place to stay in Santa Fe!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/08
5 minutes from the Plaza. A little street noise if you stay in some of the front units but generally not a problem. The charm and setting make it worth while. Great breakfast!

Classic New Mexico
By Felicia, 01/31/08
I have stayed here at least three times. I loved it each time. The hotel seems to be popular with the over 65 AAA crowd but my boyfriend (now hubby) loved it just the same. Each time I have had a different type of room and each room was great. It is a super value for the $. I would highly recommend it. One room had a fireplace. The last room was completed remodeled. I enjoyed the heated pool and spa as well. Go to the Mexican restaurant across the street for great mexican food without the attitude of some of the more popular places in Santa Fe.

Comfort with an authenticity
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/08
El Rey has a authentic SW fkavour with style and comfort that is affordable and hospitable. The rooms are unique but the road nearby is noisy, so I preer the rooms in the back. They are also very opposed to animals, which are not permitted on-site, but I think they should try to accomodate travelers with pets. Nonetheless, it is unique and they do accomodate their guests rather well so I recommend the Sante Fe experience at El Rey if you have a car.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SAY IN SANTA FE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/04/07
When we are in Santa Fe, we always stay at El Rey. The staff is curteous and helpful and will always accommodate most requests. They are environmentally friendly and the service is outstanding. The Inn is located centrally in Cerrillos Road which is a main street. You could stay in a pricey hotel, but why? There's a pool, a couple of jaccuzzis, very comfy and clean rooms. The breakfast is complimentary and fabulous!

Excellent experience!
By Unhappy, 07/12/07
The El Rey Inn made our trip! Our room was extremely charming, clean, and very comfortable. The morning breakfast was an absolute delight! The pool, sauna, and grounds were clean and beautifully kept. Every staff person was friendly, polite and always eager to please. The Inn is centrally located and so easy to find. We'll always stay here when visiting Santa Fe!
