beyond my highest expectations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/09
After staying at other top hotels across the country I have to say that my stay at this hotel was the most pleasant and restful experience that I have had in a long time. From the time I checked in and departed 2 days later the service to the atmosphere ranks up there comparable if not surpasses any hotel that I have stayed at in my travels while on business or for leisure purposes. I would like to commend the management at this hotel and their staff for making my stay a very enjoyable one and I will definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends and business contacts .

Still worn down.
By Anthony, 01/22/09
You can see that at one point this was a very nice hotel. But, those days are long gone. I've stayed here once every year for the past five years. if you are part of a convention it is ok. But, becuase of the large conventions they hold it gets too crowded and noisy to be convenient or fun for regular guests. long ines for breakfast, check-in, snack shop, bar, etc... are the norm. The staff does their best. but, it seems they are often overwhelmed by weddings/conventions. if you need to go to Cherry Hill specifically fine. If you need to be close to Philly choose somewhere else.

Incompetence and Attitude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/07
For a year I worked with the Crowne Plaza sales rep to have our wedding guests stay in a pleasant hotel. I wasn't able to give them pleasant because even holding the room block guest list and on-line confirmations many of my family and guests at check-in were told there were no reservations for them. Even when we, the bride and groom, checked in, the suite we were promised was not the one we were given and we had to strongly discuss with staff to get the promised suite provided to us. Additionally, we were told via e-mail and personal visits from us to the sales rep that all attempts would be made to put our block and other guests together. We were spread out over 4 floors. The guest gift bags weren't given out by the desk clerk because "it isn't in the reservation notes," even though the day before the rep said she would ensure it was done. I told her I was the bride and that was my father and to give him one. She said she has "to check with the manager." I got upset and then she stormed off with my father's credit card and never returned. A manager finally hunted her down and got the card back. Because I was trying to straighten all of this out, I was unable to pick up my wedding dress and had to do it the day of the wedding. Later I was told it was in the notes but after the information about military discounts and the clerk hadn't read everything. I was further told that everything was taken care of, but when I checked in our babysitter her room reservation also did not exist and I had to go up to the suite, in my wedding dress, to get the confirmation sheet. I strongly suggest that this hotel, while having a pretty lobby, not be the hotel you use for any event. They are incompetent at handling a fundamentally basic and important task of room reservations. My sister, whose room was reserved on-line had been changed by the hotel to have her check-in date 2 days after my wedding!!!! Also, her room was not cleaned one day and upon return from the wedding at midnight, the clerk said, "What do you want me to do about it!?!?" I spent over $1,500 on my suite ($275/night) and two additional rooms and I received nothing in compensation for this fiasco. Only after I talked to the director of catering about payment of sodas we owed was my complaint heard. She was kind enough to send fruit, crackers, and champagne to us on our honeymoon. It still does not begin to make up for the frustration to my guests and particularly to me on the day before and the day of our wedding. Do not let your perfect day or special event be frustrated by the imcompetence and uncaring attitude of the staff at this Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill. This "hitch" didn't ruin our wedding with all its meaning but it did cause plans to be altered

Okay, but you pay for everything!
By DrDC, 04/04/07
A nice hotel with good service, but despite the pricey room, you are still paying for every service. There is a fee for the internet service (no wireless). The breakfast was a shocking $12, when you consider that they only had a choice of scrambled eggs (rubbery), bacon (burned), and french toast (soggy). Coffee only if you can track down a waiter. The former nightclub/lounge is under renovation, so things may improve. The room was big, but the bathroom needed updating. The whole place is under renovation, so things may change soon. I took a point off of cleanliness because of the bathroom and the general dust of the renovation. They've moved the fitness center into a larger facility, and it's quite nice - new equipment, good set of free weights and clean. And since they moved the fitness center away from the guest rooms, it's now open 24 hrs. The hotel is quite remote - really only useful if you're visiting the Executive Office Park across the street. It's a $25 cab fare to the main train station in Philadelphia; even more to the airport. Because of all the fees, this isn't my first choice of hotel in the Cherry Hill area.

I wouldn't mind staying there again
By jasmin, 02/08/06
The people were nice, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately Room service was a little slow in delivering a turkey sandwich and the bathrooms are a little rusty. The tile on the tub had rust and the room service could be a little more expeditiously with room service. I had t wait two hours for a turkey sandwish. Overall, the experience was good and the hotel was conveniently located in a good area.

M'eh
By Marissa, 08/29/05
On one hand, the place was full to the brim and the staf was never anything but helpful and courteous to everyone, wedding party and horror movie conventioneer alike. their but the rooms were small and overpriced, even with the con discount rate, the bathrooms need to some serious work, and the bedrooms were hardly the cleanest i'd ever seen. it's not awful, and is certainly above most h/motel standards, but i've been in other Hiltons that have been much, much better.

Nothing Special Here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/23/05
Rooms were clean, but nothing special. Bathrooms definatley need to be freshened up (old tile, old tubs, empty spot in bathroom ceiling where heat lamp used to be) Front desk staff had a attitude problems that need to be adjusted. We checked in on a weekend where there was a convention checking in, and the hotel only had one bellman on duty. Food at the hotel is very pricey, but luckily you are a short drive from some very nice restaurants.
