Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Parsippany, Parsippany

Title says it all. Aside from the averageness of the room quality and cleanliness, the hotel's personal website says that there is high speed broadband internet in every room equal to a T1 connection. This couldn't be more from the truth though. The internet in this place is absolutely horrid. I had to download a 17MB file to update a driver on my laptop, and it took over half an hour to complete the download. (at home it would have taken about 15 seconds) I believe a 56k modem provides a faster download speed than this. Pings of over 1000ms to popular websites also do not indicate the type of broadband connection as advertised either. If you are a traveler, business or otherwise, and would like to have a decent internet connection, then look elsewhere, because this hotel cannot live up to their own expectations. Other than that, I had a GREAT view of the side of another building.... If you're looking to overpay for an average room just like any other hotel...then this is the place for you. Just don't believe for one second you'll get anything that resembles a decent internet connection.

it was lovley expearence for me. i had my childs 13th birthday there, and she loved the place. i am giving back, and writing a wonderful review.

I used them to block rooms for my wedding and they lost reservations, didn't honor check in times, had no shuttle ready and were VERY rude to my guests. They even went as far as telling my 95 year old great grandfather that unless he produced a credit card (for a room I booked and paid for on my credit card) he could not stay in the hotel. They wouldn't even let him upstairs to get me. Thank goodness for the kindness of a stranger who was staying at the hotel and came to get me. The hotel was neat and clean but the night staff was so rude it made everything else seem unimportant.

I needed a break from all the stress at work so I stayed overnight during the weekend, just need to relax and rest. They offered a Jacuzzi Room which was very clean and the room was quite large with TV, refrig, etc. The Jacuzzi tub is located in the room and it can fit one adult comfortablely, two might have to sit up to be all in. The room also come with continental breakfast, which was a bit disappointing; nothing much, but its better than nothing. This place is one of the few that offers Jacuzzi room and relatively inexpensive. I would recommend this place to all.

I RECENTLY STAYED AT HOLIDAY INN IN NYC AND WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! ON THE OTHER HAND YOUR HOTEL WAS COMFORTABLE, VERY CLEAN, EXCELLENT VALUE, GREAT MEALS, AND ESPECIALLY HELPFUL STAFF. I FELT VERY SAFE, AS I WAS TREVELING ALONE.

I had occasion to be on a project near this hotel and I stayed there several times. The rooms are nice, clean and reasonably large. The business centre is good and had a printer and free internet access on their house computer which is pretty nice. The bar is acceptable and morning breakfast has all sorts of yummy fruit juices. Its right next to a few big highways so its fairly convenient. Service was OK, not going to win any frendlyness awards but good nonetheless
