Worse hotel that i have ever stayed at!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/08
As soon as I looked at the hotel I knew that I wouldn't like it at all. One elevator broke, so it took awhile waiting for the other one. Once we got into out room the bed were completely uneven, one side is much higher than the other, it seems as though the house keeping did not vacuum and I had found Q-tips on the ground. The pillows weren't really comfortable, it was like sleeping on a hard rock. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

Great place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/07
This place is a great hotel. We got a spring break package deal and stayed there 4 nights for about 30 bucks a night. The staff was great. They have 5 buck pitchers of beer. Its close to the strip. You you have to walk over a bridge that runs by the highway. But American's are fat and need some walking. I don't have anything bad to say. I am said it is close for renovations till 2008.

Never sleep here ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/07
We stayed at the golden palms in the summer and the pool was broken, it was filthy, the staff had no manners, they didnt clean the room, there was cigarette burns on the "comforters", and and throw up stains in the shower. So we switched rooms and let me tell you.. it only got worst! There was no fire exit and stairs were locked and the elevators.. im sorry the elevator took several minutes to get from the second floor to the first. iF YOU ARE WALKING FROM THE GOLDEN PALM TO THE STRIP YOU HAVE TO WALK ACROSS THE FREEWAY BRIDGE TO GETHER WHICH INHABITS MANY HOMELESS CITIZENS! The karoke was completely empty and there was no ice machine...By the way Nevada is in the desert. And the AC smelled like dead corpes UGH it was disgusting. Never take your kids here THEY WILL BECOME SICK AND REGRET EVER COMING TO LAS VEGAS!!!!

The ugliest hotel I have ever stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
Gross, dirty, smelly and ugly. Everything was bad. Even towels had holes and some kind of brown spots. Floor and bathroom - beyond the explaination. I will never ever stay there and do not recomment to anyone under any condition even for one-night stop.

Not worth the deal :-(
By Asha, 12/27/06
For christmas holidays we visited Vegas. Stayed in this hotel as it is nearby to the strip. But that was the biggest mistake we ever did. Though we had requested for King bed they offered us queen bed. The maintainance is worst. We stayed there for 3 nights. Still they were not cleaning the room properly in the sense they were not cleaning up the bed, no toilet papers(we had to get it from the front desk every time we were out of it), no coffee maker, no iron board nothing. You have to go and ask for one in the front desk. HOuse keeping is worst. Some of the lights in the room were not working. They charge $3/day as energy surcharges.

You get what u pay for.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/06
First, I don't work at GP. I stayed there for 2 days just a week ago. With this price range I don't expect anything fancy at all. I just want a place to shower, sleep and keep bags and things in a safe place. My room was OK, bed was comfy, warm shower, cool aircon, secure room. If you want to enjoy Vegas, don't linger at the GP, go to the strip for food, fun and entertainment. I went to Vegas just a month ago and slept at the Monte Carlo. Place was excellent but you have to pay twice or thrice what u pay at GP. Be wise. I hate it when people expect best things and pay as little as possible and complain about getting what they pay for. Amen.

Roach Motel
By LouiseH, 09/03/06
No ice machine, the bar opens at 5 or thereabouts where you get your ice. The air conditioning was poor; getting extra towels for a second guest took a day. Never did get more than 4 hangars for the closet. Didn't have more than 2 roaches in the bathroom. Didn't want to stay in the room except to sleep and change. Can't recommend it for any reason.

Can't wait to leave this place and city!
By Angelica, 07/10/06
Choosing this hotel was a mistake, The receptionist Michelle was rude the first day, The carpet in my room or just about any where else was filty. The elevator kept breaking down every ten minutes. The only thing good about this place was the cafe, they had decent food, Since we were here for one night. I won't be coming back to this place again. thank you.

Ruin your vacation by staying in the Goldren Plams LV
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/06
Do not even think of this hotel ‘Golden Palms’; do not even visit Vegas if this 'hotel' da is your only option. Stains on the furniture everywhere, disgusting smells, and above all the staff will tell you 'have a nice day, asswhole' if you say that the shower does not have hot water. They will ruin your vacation!!!
