23 reviews for Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Incline Village
THE BEST Tahoe Resort!
By Michael, 01/25/10
Let me begin by saying all of the Hyatt's rooms, no matter which one you choose will provide you with great comfort. I have been there many times over the years and have stayed at the cottages, and in the main tower. This truly is the best Resort on Lake Tahoe. The Hyatt has its own private beach with jet ski's and speed boats available for rental Also the Hyatt's Catamaran the "Sierra Cloud" is fantastic! Great for summer and Winter. Also, this hotel has great proximity to many Tahoe Restaurants and activities.

One of the best places in Lake Tahoe
By Kos, 08/11/09
We were there for 2 nights and stayed in a King non-smoking in the Spa section (vs the tower). The most non-tower rooms have patios or balconys. We had a 1st floor patio with view of the mountains, fire pit, and pool area. It was a great room. It's tough to find a place in Tahoe that is new with a fresh clean feel. This place exceeded expectations on the condition of the room. We did have a few bugs in the room which may be because of the 1st floor location. The pool area was awesome. The lounge chairs are the most comfortable I've ever used. The staff is very helpful at the pool area. Casino staff was great as well as the front desk help. The Lake is a 5-10 minute walk from the main hotel which isn't that bad as you walk through the villa and conference area. The lake front service is great. There is a bar on a floating dock which is great for sunsets and lots of seating on the beach with lounge chairs provided. In addition to the hotel accomodations, Incline Village Country Club has shops and places to eat right across the street and the prices are very reasonable. The only negative I could mention is that the King bed did seem to slope down from the center to both sides - not a huge slope but noticable when sleeping. All in all I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful!
By Mike, 02/16/09
I stayed at the hotel in October 2008, for a weekend with my family. We stayed in a lakeside cottage, which is expensive, but was worth it due to enough space for 4, and the location on the beach. The building is set up much like a townhouse, four units to a building. Two are up and two are down. The room was clean and had a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook for yourself. The bedroom is separated from the living room by a door. You will have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Direct access to the beach, via the back porch is a plus. You will have to have a downstairs unit for that though. The room has a large fireplace and plenty of wood. There is a TV in the living room and in the bedroom. Both are flat screens. The room was warm and there is enough extra bedding. Room service was prompt and the food was good. We did eat at Cutthroat's Grill one night. We had to wait for a table due to a convention using the same hotel that weekend. The food was good, nothing excetional. Just normal fare for that type of restaurant. I did not gamble or use the pool, so I can't comment on those amenities. The staff was friendly and attentative. Truckee is nearby, about 30 to 40 minute drive. It's a very nice town. Southlake Tahoe is about 40 minutes away. So if you want to see shows and do other casino related events you will have to drive. Incline Village is a quite setting for relaxing, not much of a night life. The overall price is a little steep, but very worth it. I will be back.

Eceptional
By Soldier, 08/14/08
I found it exceptional and well worth the expense. I generally write much stronger reviews but could not find anything to sass about during my stay. The restaurant was absolutely Fabulous and they and the hotel treated us like VIP's. Really enjoyed the stay. Would like to go back if I am ever in that area again.

Awesome time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/07
I really enjoyed my stay at Lake Tahoe at the Hyatt. The location is perfect - the beach was private with many things to do. We had fun in the casino and the food was impeccable! I will most definately return.

Great Experience
By Georgia, 06/11/07
We have a house on the west side of Lake Tahoe. My niece was using the house and we had to be at Tahoe for a course. We stayed at the Hyatt. What a great experience. Lake Tahoe is truly one of the most beautiful spots in the world and the Hyatt has made this a true destination resort. The facilites are great, restaurants, spa, pool and beach. If you are looking for a great massage Kate is a great therapist. The service was wonderful and the staff was incredible. I would highly recommend the Hyatt. I will not stay here again probably because I already have a place at Tahoe but I will be back to visit the Spa and Restaurants. Thank you for a great visit.

Disappointing
By Larry, 03/17/07
I had stayed at this hotel before several years ago and was looking forward to returning. But I was disappointed by my return visit. The wonderful physical appearance of the hotel was still there, but I didn’t feel I was treated very well and had expected some technical upgrade to the hotel to have been made that weren’t. In general I didn’t get a warm feeling from any of the staff, with just a few exceptions. It didn’t have the feel of a typical resort hotel. I found the food service to be outrageously priced and the service not matched to this pricing. Then I had expected my room to be equipped with HD TV and a stereo of some kind. No such luck. I will say that otherwise the room was quite nice. It was too bad that my room had no view other than the roof of the one story section of the hotel, as I was not up high enough to see the beautiful Lake Tahoe. The worse thing was that not only did the rooms not have HD TV their sports bar didn’t even have them! The final insult was that there were nice new HD TV’s all over the casino introducing pictures of the staff. What a waste. And my final disappointment was with the fact that I had the understanding that my payment to Yahoo! Travel was complete of all fees. In fact, I paid $50 in tax and fees on top of the room price, but I was still hit up for $13 “resort fee” at check out. This was the final annoyance for the trip.

How about better music at the Lone Eagle!
By A Yahoo! User, 03/05/07
There are some really great musicians here in Tahoe, As a local I'm so sick and tired of hearing "Luke" with his pre-recorded songs on his IPOD, and semi-air guitar. The Pizza and drinks in the bar are good, but the wine list needs help, its way overpriced and average quality. The Cutthroat is fun, but the food not worth it.

Don't waste your money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/07
At first it seemed like a nice place, but each day we stayed there, the service got worse and worse. No one ever smiled or acted like they were glad we were there. We ordered room service for dinner every night and it took 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get our order. Someone always called us to see if our order or housekeeping service was how we expected it, but it really seemed like lip service because the service was worse each time. We always tipped big hoping the service would improve, but it didn't. The manager was rude when I politely addressed the issues with him. His reputation is soooo bad that it precedes him. Two weeks later in Maui we met someone who lived in Incline Village for more than ten years and he said the manager was well known in town for poor service and his team had poor attitude. I expect to be treated like royalty at such an expensive hotel and we are low maintenance people. It's almost as if the place is possessed. No joke!

Not worth it !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/06
Like that It was up in the mountains but not close enough to the lake. Nachos were good other than that Food was not worth the money. Be ready to open up your wallet!
