Very nice but one suggestion

Stayed with my husband and kids for an overnight. Stayed in one of two rooms located above hotel lobby. Nice clean room, comfy bed, better-than-average continental breakfast. One suggestion: these particular rooms are situated towards front of property next to other businesses that produce plenty of light at night. There was only a sheer panel for drapes and no black-out curtains. Was very difficult to sleep with so much light coming into room. Don't know if this is a problem in other parts of the property. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay.

Not worth the price paid

We stayed in this hotel last night with high anticipation however it was clearly a little disappointing for the high $$246/night. The rooms were kind of small for a double.The pool closes at dark 8 pm to be exact and there are very few amenities such as pay per movies and check out in your room. We did not get to let the kids use the spa because it closes early. The breakfast bar area is very small and was very crowded so even though we paid for the breakfast with our room we did not eat there.The rooms were very clean except for a dirty spot on the curtain. The bed was sufficent and the pillows were soft. People walked by our room alot.. finally shut the curtains and that helped. I suggest a cheaper room if you do not want any frills.

Very satisfactory!

My husband and I went for Valentines day 2010. We stayed in a queen size starndard room. vey clean and really comfortable bed. I love the bath room, really big and tile counters. The freg was nice and the AC worked great. We didnt get to go in the pol but no need to cuz the lake is so close. Every thing is so near the hotel, the casino, safeway, and food. Just leave your car in the hotel parking lot and evrything is a walkin distance. Will go back agian, for sure. So recommed it! And good price. One thing a love the most at the end us checkin out was their complamentary breakfest ,yummo. lots of food to pick from to bajels and yogurt, and diff juices, I got a crumb donut ! not like any other hotel ive been too. See you guys in june

Good location, but.....

Don't pick room 105 & other rooms on #100s, etc. during winter. It's located on a lower level, where the downhill road were not properly salted and plowed. It's hard get in and out of it. I'm from chicago and I used all my techniques to get through that downhill road of yours. Expect screeching tires on going uphill, and go slow on going down. You might end up on one of the hotel rooms below or you might hit their plowing truck parked right at the end of that road. Otherwise, good location, OK amenities, clean rooms and bathrooms.

Great experince

We had a great experiance, when we arrived we were upgraded to the romace suites with no extra charge. the room was very clean. the staff was great! the hotel is very close to everything, we will be staying here from now on when we visit lake tahoe as we are tehre 2 a year!

Good Hotel

Clean rooms, good service, stuff very friendly and average price during peak season (skiing). The complimentary continental breakfast helps a lot when you have rush to get an early start on the slopes. Very close to the newly renovated Heavenly Village-Gondola. If you need a shuttle to the Heavenly Village, make sure you ask the front desk, Heavenly shuttle does NOT go by this hotel every half hour like they advertise. Or, if you like to walk to the Gondola with your skiing gear, is right across - walking distance approximately 500 yards. Recommend staying on this hotel if you are skiing in Heavenly Mountain. Your friendly Bay Area skiier.

clean rooms, great rate

Excellent location in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Walking distance to Heavenly. Very clean room and bathroom - good decor. Very good value for money. Possible improvements: Soft beds are somewhat uncomfortable. A newer TV would be good.

Spent 5 enjoyable days at this hotel. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, along with an excellent continental breakfast. Close to all attractions in CA as well as NV. Very pleasant experience!!!

Never will stay there again.

Hard to get to. Not favorable for children. Far from everything. Am offended that was unable to cancel when I found out how far from wedding area this was. Was told it was a block away and it was a total of 1 mile away. Very hard to walk back and forth with 3 year old child. Wish was more honest and wish under the circumstances was allowed to cancel to move closer to reason was in Tahoe. Very disappointed.

close to fun

It was really nice to stay on the California side....NO SMOKING! The hotel is right accross the street from the Village, an easy one mile drive or bus ride from the California Lodge at Heavenly. The rooms are very clean and it is well taken care of.
