Would Not Return
We were looking for an affordable motel for the night and decided to stay at the Days Inn. The cost was higher than we expected, considering the season, but was still under $100. The motel's location was nice for my husband (it's near Menards:)
To get to our room, we climbed a steep flight of stairs. Upon entering, the lights did not turn on, and my husband noticed one of the lamps had a broken light bulb with the filaments exposed. When I called the front desk, they told me to come get a light bulb and replace it myself. Our bed was tiny. Instead of a queen or full size, it was the equivalent of a twin. However, the pillows were fluffy and comfortable: finally, nice pillows! The room was pretty big for a motel room - our toddler enjoyed that - but it had the look and feel of an old motel. The bathtub looked unpleasant with chipped paint and a broken plug. No freebies here besides the coffee; don't expect to find little shampoo bottles or bars of soap! I was pleased that the motel was quiet during the night, but the walls were thin enough that we could clearly hear surrounding noises. I cannot give a review of the pool or the continental breakfast, as we did not go to either.
Ultimately, this was not the worst motel we have been in, but we will definitely not be returning for another visit. It was not worth the amount of money we paid, and I would not recommend it to others.
