No No Never again
By ,
This had to be the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. Checking in was nice, front desk staff really friendly. When we entered the side door to get to our rooms the carpet was stained and very dirty. Entering my mother in laws room thinking this isn't a very clean place, upon entering our room the smell was awful!!!! After 45 minutes we decided we could not stay some place that was so dirty and smelled so bad. Had no problem receiving a refund, think having a very large group checking in as we were explaining the problems helped with getting the refund.

Never again!

Property is old, not well-maintained, and a rip-off at any price over $40! I finally was able to get the tub to drain but only after I removed several batches of other people's hair that was clogging the drain (yuck!) The water park is OK but the concession stand was closed, the bar was closed, no lifeguards or hotel personel to keep order. Buckets in the veranda area near the pool to catch dripping water from the ceiling was the 'maintainance fix' of choice, it seems. Lighting in the pool area is dim, making it unsafe, in my opinion, to be able to keep an eye on your kids. I've stayed in 3rd world hotels with better accomodations and for a lot less money. An embarassment to what was once a premier hotel chain!

Impressive

Clean, quiet, courteous, comfortable. Quality. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in years. My oversized wheelchair got me where I wanted to go without problems

Not happy at all!
By ,
Where do I start. Checked in late night around 11pm and clerk somehow gave our reservation to my in-law and charged us more than they said they would. When we mentioned this, clerk said that the charge price was the standard rate and didn't even try to accomodate us. Got to our room and the carpet is just stains. Bathroom looks more like it was dusted rather than cleaned. As I type, the clerk is talking to family rather than help customers. I wake up at 8:30am and get ready, my wife gets ready and we are going to eat breakfast at 9:20am. I then learn that breakfast closed at 9am. Super 8 has breakfast until 10am, why can't a Ramada Inn? I've never heard of breakfast ending so soon. Do they not realize that some people are on vacation and would like to sleep a little later than get up early to just eat? I've stayed at hotels for a good part of my life from family vacations to my honeymoon and this isn't going well here at all. I am sure most of the staff is trying, but it's not showing very well. Maybe I'll get up at dawn tomorrow so I can review their breakfast that others say is good. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless I have kids to enjoy the pool, which is limited to paying to use and not for anyone but room guests. I understand that they want to keep access to the pool because it is a "water park", but if they want to charge for it, they should be more accomodating to the guests in my eyes.

Fantastic Stay!!
By ,
Our whole family went to the new indoor waterpark, It was great! Spouse had to go for business and took the family along. We are going back with extended family. Free breakfast was excellent! Rooms very clean and big, staff went out of their way, very helpful. Kids still talking about it! Great value.

Bring your own internet, cooler and Raid
By ,
The hotel itself is nice, Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill is attached to it, there's a "Waterpark", and they accept pets for a $50 fee. Compared to the other hotels here I would say this is near one of the "better" hotels. Stayed here for my husband's employment training.. They have wireless problems in a big way with little or no help besides tell you "it's being worked on" and give you a number to the network provider, Innflux. Not much follow up on problematic issues, the staff very young group, very inexperienced and not exceptionally friendly or knowledgeable. Pool is huge and breakfast isn't horrible for being free every day. They have washers and dryers but they don't work well. We have a big room(without a window to open and it's smoking). I agree it needed to be cleaned better. The room we had was pretty big but nothing matched and there are bugs everywhere...they must have had a flood recently: waterbugs. The bed was big and comfortable for a hotel bed. If you are here for a long period of time I suggest you get a BIG cooler because they have thee smallest 'frige (if any) in the rooms with a microwave, so bring a toaster. There's HBO but only CNN and Fox news, no good cable stations. Not a lot of room to walk your dog outside nor places to deposit the poo. But not a horrible experience either. :) If I didn't have to be located there for longer than a month I would have only wished it didn't cost so much. Someone needs to update the place badly.

decent but not good
By ,
The staff was nice. The spa was very dirty, had a green film on the sides. The room was spacious but the bathtub felt like there was moss growing in it when you stepped in. There is also a bug problem there, when we woke up we had spider bites on us. The heater didnt work in our room. The food we got was decent but cold. We went for a night out to spend time away together, If we do this again I really dont think this is a place I would stay at unless this was the only place that was available. The location is convenient as far as access to the mall and interstate.
